Ment posts the town RI role PM:
He also informs us Shelly was town, despite being a named person (Solomon Grundy - Batman villain). I speculate he could have been an unidentified independent on the side of town then (like the priest was on the side of human factions in the zombie game). Although town could also have roled players.
But he was also Solomon Grundy - so I don't think he was just your average run-of-the-mill thug.
Looks like this confirms that there are independents out there, and, if he was also linked to town, then those independents might be beneficial for town.

here's an RI PM for everyone's consideration;
Deadly thug (town)
you are the worst of the worst--biggest and meanest of Gotham's burgeoning criminal population. Sadly, you lack the brains to go along with the brawn. As such, the most oyu can aspire is beating up anyone who makes you feelinadeaquate dumb.
You are RI. you can vote who gets punched to death each day.
You will win once batman is dead IF the town has plurality at time of death.

Come on, really? So we all have names but Ment hasn't given them to us. I don't think so.
It is possible that town have some roled players with names (and you are one of them), in which case I apologise, though you kinda outed yourself
And if, on the other hand, you are some other named player like one of the CLs or the Batman, then I certainly don't apologise
Either way, you're in a hole. What do others think?

I think it's really thin. Ampelas's reading of Ment's posts is perfectly valid. And I agree with him, there are plenty Batman villains to tag us with on exit. I don't see that you have a case at all against Ampelas, I'm afraid.

Yeah, because you were speculating that it was an independent, which I already stated last page that I thought was a stupid idea, and was trying to offer an alternative for you.

It's not that unbelievable - it has happened in previous games (ie: office wars, I think?)

On the other other other hand, I'd be really dissapointed if I was The Riddler and didn't know about it until my CF...

I think that's a ridiculous position to take - "we could get names when we die". 1) What would be the point of that? 2) Solomon Grundy is big enough in the Bat-universe to be a roled player.

It has in certain games. However, doing that goes against the idea of random criminals lumped into a reality show (as is the premises of the mafia game, mixed with the Arkham City computer game). I mean, Talia al'Ghul is hardly raw dumb muscle, wouldn't you say?

I don't/didn't know that. I've only seen the cartoon, haven't read any of the comics (or played the games much). The only big ones I know would be Joker, Ivy, Riddler, Mr Freeze and Two-Face. I didn't even think The Penguin was very big before this game.

Surely you could skip the "second tier" villains like that and still come up with 17 minor villains like Bane and Killer Croc?

Flavor. In the OP he also mentions thematic abilities - I guess that's not limited to the Big Five - if his previous games are anything to go by. Perhaps also camouflage for roled town players upon their death amidst dead RIs, of which we'll have a few. We can't win against four cults and a big ben without some oomph of our own. And I agree with 2).

Yes, as I said my other thought is that town do have some roled players (and unfortunately Shelly was one of them and is now dead).
I highly doubt it's just flavour. If it was, then we'd all have a name straight off, which I at least certainly don't

Your right he wasn't that big. He was only the main villain in Batman Returns. So not to big at all.

Bane is fairly major apart from that one movie where he is basically a side show

Bane isn't a second tier villain. He is the main villain from the upcoming batman movie. He broke Batmans back in the comics and forced Bruce Wayne into retirement.

But to bring the game back on track: Atrahal has been a bit odd lately. One sentence blatant dismissals and accusations without much reasoning put into his posts. Like he wants to stoke up a fire but without putting much effort into it or profile himself. Not enough to vote but a worrying trend if it is going to continue.
