Forgive me for not accepting bluster and misdirection as a valid defence. You may agree with Eloth, and may even think that he is town, but that doesn't automatically make his defence pass muster. I removed my vote because it was such a close thing between D'riss and Eloth, and now I'm coming down on D'riss, having reviewed the thread. If the simple act of changing a vote is enough to cast suspicion on any townie, then our chances of winning are slim indeed.
What's close between D'riss and Eloth? Eloth is only L-4, D'riss doesn't even have half the votes needed. YOu explicity said Eloth DID NOT DEFEND himself. Now you're saying his defense isn't good enough or "not valid."
The bullshit about "changing votes being suspicious means town is gonna lose" just makes me more confident of my vote.
Closeness of case-weight, not vote-number. Read back: I said I didn't accept bluster/misdirection as making a meaningful defence. That's not the same as saying he didn't attempt to defend himself -- merely that I wouldn't view such attempts as being worthy of the name. I think you're confusing yourself, TBH.
*shrug*
Feel free to be a voting windvane.
Edit: to change 'then name' to 'the name'.

I think everyone is pretty fucking confused, to be honest, but regardless of your suspicion of D'riss, the way you suggested voting for Eloth was a necessity and then quickly removed stands out to me.

Votes jumping around is only natural, though, given the thin nature of the cases against various players. It shouldn't be a cause for suspicion at this early stage.

You sound pretty convinced each time you jump, though. Doesn't mesh well with someone who describes themself as a weather vane. I don't think it's scummy, really, just bad choice of tone.

Really? I think you're reading more conviction into my words than is actually there. And I'm not saying I'm a weathervane -- that would be how I'd decribe someone who votes how the wind seems to be blowing. I've done that precisely once, and given what I regard as a valid reason. Other votes I have made have been direct responses to cases (or, in Korbas's case, because I was feeling persecuted).

Posts from Fener saying he'd confused Ampelas and me in earlier posts, and not much reaction from Ampelas to that confusion.

Just to lay out the case for everyone:
Ment posts the town RI role PM:
He also informs us Shelly was town, despite being a named person (Solomon Grundy - Batman villain). I speculate he could have been an unidentified independent on the side of town then (like the priest was on the side of human factions in the zombie game). Although town could also have roled players.
But he was also Solomon Grundy - so I don't think he was just your average run-of-the-mill thug.
Looks like this confirms that there are independents out there, and, if he was also linked to town, then those independents might be beneficial for town.
Ampelas then responds to my speculation, saying:
To which I respond:
Ampelas then gives a VERY unbelievable explanation:
No, but couldn't Ment just be putting them in as it goes? Given the (lack of) formatting and content (ie no VC for batman?) of the OP, I wouldn't be surprised by it..
As I then point out:
Come on, really? So we all have names but Ment hasn't given them to us. I don't think so.
It is possible that town have some roled players with names (and you are one of them), in which case I apologise, though you kinda outed yourself
And if, on the other hand, you are some other named player like one of the CLs or the Batman, then I certainly don't apologise
Either way, you're in a hole. What do others think?
Thoughts?

here's an RI PM for everyone's consideration;
Deadly thug (town)
you are the worst of the worst--biggest and meanest of Gotham's burgeoning criminal population. Sadly, you lack the brains to go along with the brawn. As such, the most oyu can aspire is beating up anyone who makes you feelinadeaquate dumb.
You are RI. you can vote who gets punched to death each day.
You will win once batman is dead IF the town has plurality at time of death.
