don't know if this could belong in here, but since we are talking of book covers, i envy this Japanese covers:
i found this years ago, it's in my HD all this time, but I seem to have lost GRRM's ASOIAF and WOT Japanese covers, this is Edding's Elenium and Tamuli,

Makes me almost want to read more Eddings. Although I did not at all enjoy Belgariad.

Also, I don't remember Moses being in Deadhouse Gates.

um, if you didn't like Belgariad, i can't fault you, mostly Eddings is formulaic, and he reverts to his methods, though he has cool ideas, it just mostly got wasted,
the first pic (Ruby Knight) is a direct scene from the book, that broad, blond Knight is also a necromancer aside from being a Church Knight, don't ask me why,
the last 2 were a little abstract,

i think he's Duiker, it can't be Sormo, but sometimes i get that feeling, because of the butterflies,

So I'm reading Kristen Britain's Green Rider series (which started shakily in book 1, but book 2 is scads better)...and I've come across the french covers which I think are just stunning, and give the US covers (especially the early ones) a run for their money! They also portray Karigan FAR closer to how I feel she is in the books than the early US covers. And the Mooonstone armor on the Eletian in the one cover is well done.

If cover blurbs were anything but publisher crafted/coerced then I'd see the issue...but some really good books have been blurbed by some really crappy authors.
