Uuuu those were awesome; I love the quality of animation in this! :D Visualgasm.
Just typical to leave a cliffhanger that will make one gnaw at their nails till...when's the next ep airing, again?

PRETTY sure they air Friday nights.

Just watched the 5 released eps for this season. I love the capitalist guy. The man's a genius. Korra is losing her shit, and Mako is the only one talking sense. Bolin and his crazy gf...

I like how this show touches upon subjects that could become very deep. The first season with inequality between benders and normal folks, I feel, could have been explored a bit more. And in this season with the whole idea of profiting from conflict seems like it might be the darker side of the story. I doubt it will go much deeper, as they pulled punches in the first season, but the fact that the subject came up at all is interesting.

Oh yeah, spirit bending. What's the story there?

I'm still catching up, I have the second part of CIVIL WAR two-parter to go and the newest one.

But yeah, Bolin is caught up in a fatal attraction man!

LOL

Uuu yes the best animated series I've seen in a while. Some of the new eps had me a bit teary-eyed, even. And what a cliffhanger in the 5th ep!

Bolin's antics are priceless.

Yay, character growth opportunity, maybe korra can finally learn some sense and not leap into everything.

Also im liking mako this season, hes showing a bit more growth and is probably the most useful character in the series at this point.

Aaaaa jumalauta I loved loved loved the two-episode tale about the birth of the first Avatar! Some archetypal man-steals-fire-from-the-gods yarn knit together with yin-yang, but somehow so well executed I found myself wiping damp cheeks several times. :-D That, or I'm having one of my vacuous bouts of mawkishness.

(OOOH and the original Avatar state music beginning to play in the background when the Light Spirit merged herself with Wan!)

How did others like it ? :-D

Haha, the beginning part ere all the kick-nuts action felt a tad like a mini-Miyazaki movie, particularly with the spirits thronging the pool. :-D

It is entirely possible in light of this that there is an Anti Avatar.

I have to say that was the first decent episode in a while. A few problems I think, energy bending was supposed to come before elemental bending. When would this have happened. Still great mythos and it sets us up with a nice arc. I hope this is now a multi season arc.

I would say the northen water guy is the anti or at least working with Vatu. He wants to unseal the pole spirit entrances.

P.S. nothing can be oxidized without something else being reduced. They are not opposites, they are intricately linked. I agree though if we do have an anti avatar his powers wont be opposites. Water already opposes fire. Still I imagine his powers would be very different anyway, invoking malice in creatures and spirits etc.

Haha, I know. :-D Just throwing around a couple of quarter-arsed ideas. I agree that an anti-av would probably wield the same element set but with an evil slant. (Like bloodbending...)

well recall how when the evil spirit corrupted the forest spirits, they just turned into "evil" versions of themselves, likely this anti avatar would have access to bending, it would just be aspected bending. Also this anti avatar would likely only have one element, as there's no way the evil spirit got all the lion turtles to give him their elements.

Just watched the last two episodes. Awesome in many ways, but what really stood out for me was the art style. I don't really know much about art to begin with, but something about the style really set the time back and brought things down to a more primitive level. Or something... I fucking loved those episodes.

I just watched episodes 10-14 back to back, great way to do it!

I never thought that they would top the finale of Aangs journey for sheer awesomeness but wow...

That-was-EPIC!

What an ending!
