It certainly does appear that Korlat was defending Merrid, there. I have Korlat as Alliance, which would put Merrid at alliance as well.

Not sure what to think at this point, eagerly awaiting what Atrahal has to say again. Might be gone for a bit, but I'll be on when I can.

I doubt that Korlat and Merrid are on the same faction. They sure give that impression on thread, because of Korlat is so eagerly jumping to Merrids defense, but the information came up for sale on the same day and I doubt that only one faction has the finders and two finds by one finder seems to powerful as well. So unless one of the finders has put information about one of his faction members on sale, they are not very likely to be on the same team, imho.

Contrary to the beginning of the game, I now feel both sides have equal killing roles. I think the assassin may even be a neutral faction, with different winning VCs... Maybe not, but either way, it seems instead of lynching we were meant to let deaths happen via the different combative people.

How so? I don't see where you get the idea that we are meant to let them do all the killing from. The only people who are likely to benefit from such a thing that are the people doing the killing.

My opinion has changed again.

Good catch, I didn't even think of that.

I can't help but notice that someone is selling their djinn... Did Tapper put that up, ya think? Or someone close to a title, again. I think we're about to see a couple purchases.

I'm pretty sure either Tapper put it up or Kara's killer put it up as it is mentioned in the end of night post that someone salvaged mage goldenhands djinn, abaqaq.

He hasn't had his info up for sale. I get the feeling he is the one putting up others info. I don't really have any evidence to back this up more of a gut feeling with some thread observation.it probably won't go anywhere...but I am happy with it for now.

I don't have a ton of time to play today so my posts will be minimal.

I am also a bit worried that the HoA has 3 titles, I think we need to lynch one soon, as they are 2 titles away from victory.

I can tell you for sure I don't have anything that could tell me the aligment of anyone. Also, saying that you arr voting for me because my alignment info has not been put up for sale is a bit flimsy as less than half of the players have had info about them put up for sale. Lastly, the gut. I understand gut, as it has been yelling at me all game, but going on gut is a bad strategy in a regular game, and in TMDI 10+, even worse. I agree about needing to lynch HoA soon, though if they have already bought 3 titles, and there are between (my personal guess as they need at least 5 in order to even have a shot at winning) 5 or 6 of them, they are probably low on cash right about now. ( at least about 1/2 of them)

Hard to say. Tapper said he would let the bazaar go for a while without putting things up for sale as PS, but maybe he changed that, because I can't really see someone trying to sell a djinn like that without selling it meaning victory for them.

How does this prove anything? The most obvious conclusion is that Korlat purchased Merrid's info and then knew they WERE on the same faction, hence his defense. Your conclusion is not only more complicated but also doesn't take into account the obvious, and therefore my guess is that it's not that accurate.

Nice to see you guys agree about it though. :(

It is around lunch when I am asked to receive another new council member. The guest is someone I had never expected to see. Mage Dada is a dealer in pleasure, in dreams, in the supplanting of physicality by the own mind. I could no-one less suitable for the office of Chief Physician apart perhaps from the Court Chief Tortuter or the Night Prophet himself, but it seems the mage has prepared a little speech on how he means to fulfill his responsibilities. It is stammered and stuttering but endearing, and I need to suppress the dire urge to pat him on the head before I send him on his way. Here is at the least one man who is going to take his duty seriously, and not just the spoils of it.

Mage Dada of the Cult of Vultures has purchased the title of Hekim-Bashi (Chief Physician – Courtly Title).

Just a note, we see Mage Dada, from the House of Illusion, just like Goldenhand. Also the Night Prophet himself is mentioned by name again, implying he may be in the game - but the "Court Chief Tortuter" is not a Role; sounds more like a title, you can buy, actually, or maybe one that someone started with. Like "Chief Torturer - Courtly Title". So those two could still be active players in the game.

Actually, his point was quite valid.

Merrid and Korlat had their information offered on the same day (I'm going with the assumption that this is true, I cba to check from my phone atm).

So it's probably safe to assume that there is a finder for each faction.

A finder would not want to reveal the people of his faction, so he would probably not offer a contract against his own team, and they were on the same day, so they couldn't be from the same team.

But, as I'm typing this, I had a thought.

There have been 2 a day, right? What if the independant was a double finder? Or there are two finder independants? It seems strange that two people have been released each time. (I remember there being two, please correct me if I'm wrong, won't be home for a while).

As I see this break down the Night Prophet is a anathema to healing meaning that he is someone who kills? The chief torturer does sound like a title.

I think you're misunderstanding me. It doesn't matter if their info was posted on the same day or not. All that matters is that it's possible that Korlat (not a Finder) purchased the info on Merrid and realized they were allies. Hence Korlat's sudden defense of Merrid.

We don't know who the Finders are, forget about them. It's possible they are involved in this web but unlikely. You can assume each side has one if you want. In that case, whoever found Merrid wasn't on Merrid's team; sold the info on the Bazaar; Korlat buys it, finds out he IS on Merrid's team. Mystery solved.

The most obvious answer is that someone bought the info and what do you know, that person is on their team! Time to defend them!

He's saying that the only players LESS suitable for the healing title are the Chief Torturer (obvious) and the Night Prophet (obvious). Those two people probably are killers, not healers. So the title makes little sense for them to buy. And then he describes Dada as a mage who focuses almost solely on the mind, dreams, etc, so a PHYSICAL healing ability does not suit him.

That's my interpretation anyway.

Goddamn you people. I was here all weekend pretty much and nothing was happening. Now I'm busy all of today and you go ahead and discuss things and the market has all sorts of colours and crossings-off on it!

Anthras, rest assured I'll respond point-by-point to your post, I just don't have the time for a couple hours. So, wait in eager anticipation. What was all that about being "useful for once" business? :( Harsh words, dude. Unfortunately for you most of my "badgering" has been fairly logical and analytical. But it's not fun to be the target of it, I agree.
