I read that the they wanted to avoid the appearance of the military dealing with a protest that involved an election but it is beyond ridiculous that this happened. Had to be enough security from other non military sources. They knew it was gonna be bad. They had the national guard

Trump won Utah. They're not as strongly for Trump as other red states because Mormons are generally more ideologically consistent than evangelical Christians, but there is definitely political risk for Romney here. I don't agree with his policy positions and I think many of them are immoral, but I believe he deserves credit for doing what none of his colleagues are brave enough to do.
