right, since nothing else is happening im going to look at this case. Atrahal is not someone id considered before, but a new name is welcome after all the focus on Liosan and Silanah. my comments are in blue
First vote on Silanah today, who is most likely going to be lynched, but this is a very terrible reason for a vote.
You claim Silanah was caught signaling. Where? To Who?
This reads to me as a leader trying to suggest to their followers who to vote for without looking obvious about it.
i believe the signalling claim came out of the "red 5, signing in" post by Silanah, that was answered by Liosan.
I dont know my whole faction, be there four or five people in it. You know yours and so don't need any kind of codes/signaling? Interesting.
im not sure if that was the intention. i personally find that any signalling is silly, because while the person you are signalling may get it, everyone else may get it too, and then you have not only implicated yourself, but a team member too. we have few enough of those that any loss is going to have a big impact.
So there is signaling now?
And those were his only two posts doing anything about... anything.
I'm guessing Atrahal is a leader trying to coast by in the middle of the numbers while not ruffling the feathers of anyone who isn't quite likely to be lynched.
im with you here. im also getting suspicious of those who are coasting along, under the radar. definitely something to watch for.
He also protects Fener
Which again leads me to believe he knows who is on his team and who isn't, which leads me to believe he has a power role.
either that, or Fener is the only one he knows and he doesnt want to lose a team mate.
so essentially, i think you are reading too much into some things, but you do bring up some valid points and i agree that Atrahal needs watching. not sure i agree that he is a leader, may just be some kind of roled character, but definitely suspicious, especially as he was the first to jump on the Silanah train.

Caught up on phone. Tons of classes today, so little time.
Culture hunting is good, but TS seemes too loud to be important. And silanah was supposedly recognised by another player.

well, Merrid is really being put on the spot by Eloth... could be fake-symping, since no one else followed up on the Korean bit.
I'd say it's better to go for the suspected leader. Eloth is certainly not playing the way i'd expect someone important to act.
vote Merrid
as for Silanah, the fact that they are "Redwings" may have something to do with the longevity of that joke.
Or it could be signalling.

see, the flaw with that reasoning, is that I don't see there being "scum" per se in this game.
in fact, i'm currently leaning to there being 4 factions of 5.
which would make a fener lynch counterproductive.

It is Day 2. A lynch has occurred.
18 Players still alive: Atrahal, Fener, Galayn Lord, Karatallid, Kessobahn, Korlat, Korvalain, Liosan, Merrid, Okaros, Olar Ethil, Omtose, Sheltatha Lore, Shadow, Silanah, Sorrit, Tiamatha, Tulas Shorn
10 Votes to Lynch. 9 to go to night.
9 Votes Silanah: Atrahal, Korvalain, Liosan, Kessobahn, Omtose, Tulas Shorn, Olar Ethil, Sheltatha Lore, Karatallid
2 Votes Liosan: Galayn Lord, Fener
Players not voting: Korlat, Merrid, Okaros, Shadow, Silanah, Sorrit, Tiamatha
Yes, the vote number is correct. Yes, a lynch has occurred.
It could not be said that Miura Yoshimoto had not fought bravely. He stood tall on the battlefield and fought as manfully and as skillfully as any of his peers. It was just his outspokenness that people didn’t like. He had a tendency to criticize others for no apparent reason, and for that he was oft resented. So when he took a blow to the head in a skirmish with the Ashikaga, no one thought to question his even harsher than usual words over a rumor that the Uesugi Lord had been called off to Kyoto. Often angry after a draft of sake or two, his arrogance finally tipped his companions against him. They had finally had enough, and officially complained to their superiors in the Miura command. For insubordination and lack of discipline he was ordered to return to his home in disgrace. Rather than accept such an embarrassing punishment, he drew his sword and with a mighty cry he took off his own head.
Miura Yoshimoto (Silanah/Theblindsapper) is dead.

Getting close to time but I believe I hammered assuming there wasn't any more extra-voting shennanigans.
PS said he was going to bed a couple hours go.
@GL -> He is playing it much more differently than I would. Perhaps he is stuck in 'inno' mode and throwing shit to see what sticks? I don't know, but what are you trying to claim? That hes dumb? New? Scum? or are you going back to that 'recruit' thing someone was talking about yesterday?
Don't be naive. For someone who can quote what bugs them about Atrahal and who thinks he spots TS defending me, you have a very big blind spot for Liosan when a significant amount of comment surrounded him.
No. I am claiming he is gung-ho with his votes (when this isn't smart in faction games), that his motivation for removing vote from me and going to Silanah was opportunistic (and that he admitted so). From that, I (and others) think there is a reasonable chance that he is so gung-ho because he knows his team. Or that he is so gung-ho because he judges himself important and wanted to dodge attention straight away.

My thinking process from my vote on GL to vote on silanah
1. GL seems to know a lot, but in mafia you hoard info. But then again, thats what we expect, so maybe, hes giving correct info out as a "guess" to get us talking. Then it backfired and got Fener and korlat on a trail towards him. I agree with them, so maybe we can get him lynched, getting us info via CF and lynch scene.
2. Crap, that vote backfired on me, and there seems to be no possibility for a lynch on GL, but silanah, who had a few posts with no content then an explosive reaction to the lynch, may be in trouble. Maybe, like GH, the signaller is the leader, but he didnt expect someone to reply in a way so obvious to everyone as a signal. (mind you, it was nothing of the kind) Maybe Ill vote for him instead.

I haven't made any connection between him and Silanah or him and the Uesugi (that's Shadow), although nerves can be increased if he is on a team that already took a hit and his survival instincts already were a bit dented. So, I am claiming he could well be a leader-role. And I don't think he's my leader.

Do you really think that there is a role in each faction that knows everyone in their faction? I find that difficult to believe.

Confirmation of there being a Miura clan in the game. So 5 clans of 4 each.
Also, seems we got a big gun again, if family names are something to go by.

Depends on how teams are structured, really. It is usually a bad idea to make the head honcho know all his underlings as they'll be symping all across the board and get lynched quickly as a result. Underlings generally don't know other underlings.
But if there is a faction structure with a middle role, like in dibses Seguleh game, the middle role may know all as connection between head and helper.

Just a quick post on my way to work. I dunno about Sil being a big gun, from the scene itself I get the vibe of a minor commander or something. As (I think) Merrid pointed out, these clan families had loads of members.
But yeah, good to get confirmation - looks like 5 factions of 4 then (or, rather right now, 4-4-3-3-3).
