Not much opposition on that vote. Maybe Theblindsapper reacted the way he did because we lynched the daddy of PEN?
Either way, if the "middling generals" or "second in commands" exist, we got one with Silanah.
Miura Yoshimoto was the son of Miura Yoshiatsu, which would probably make him a 2nd in command type.
Shin, you're the master, btw. Yoshimoto did indeed kill himself by self decapitaiton during the storm of Arai castle. The Hojo did the storming in that situation, which isn't happening in our universe here. I bet Shin just wanted to get that self decapitation bit in their for the S&G's.
People should really do a better job with provisional actions. Waiting for night to time out is boring.

The wedge of Fujiwari soldiers headed up the valley towards where it widened out into a V shaped plain. Being late to join the formation, Iwakiri Yoshitora pushed his men at a jog in order to make up time. It was there, at a run that his life expired. Although he reacted instinctively to the arrow that pierced his throat, he was already dead from the one that had passed through his heart. As such, he never saw the completion of the skirmish that easily wiped out his outnumbered contingent of men. Nor would he know, in this lifetime, which arrow in his body had flown from the Uesugi, who had swept down from their places on the Western ridge, and which arrow had come from the Miura, who had come round the hillside to the East. Having been given orders to engage with only the Fujiwari, both the Miura and Uesugi soldiers carefully withdrew.
Iwakiri Yoshitora of the Fujiwari (Merrid/D’rek) is dead.
The Takeda, flush with the success of their incursion into Ashikaga territory pushed further, overrunning fortifications and disrupting the Ashikaga courier system. It was after they had put themselves past Mt. Hakone where they met the first major Ashikaga army in opposition, commanded by Ashikaga Yoshiaki. Both sides fought fiercely, believing they could drive the other army before them. In a bold move, Yoshiaki led a brave charge of mounted warriors personally. Takeda spearmen melted under the onslaught of the Ashikaga mounted samurai, and it was later said that it was Yoshiaki himself who struck a near fatal blow to the Takeda leader once he had reached the Takeda command pavilion. The Takeda recovered however, and pushed the Ashikaga back. They withdrew from the field and returned North across the pass. Rumors went that Takeda Nobutsuna was still alive, but could expire at any time. There was much celebration in the camp of the Shogun loyalists that night, and grim satisfaction for many nights to come.
Takeda Nobutsuna (Galayn Lord, Tapper) has been gravely wounded. Although his character is not dead, he is no longer a part of the Chapter 2 scenario.

Well, that makes it even number-wise. Everyone is 1 down, yeah?
Takeda Nobutsuna was a leader. So that would put Takeda and Uesugi at a disadvantage, having lost their leaders.

well, this is amusingly even.
Both Merrid and GL have been suggested as leaders, which I guess explains their deaths, then again, who knows what some people base their kills on.
It would seem though that Merrid didn't have a particularly important role from what I understand of the scene.

Looks to me like someone(s) from both the Miura and the Uesugi targetted Merrid/D'rek.
And also looks like I was right about Galayn Lord knowing more than he was letting on - I wonder what this means for the Takeda-Fujiwari alliance?

There's a lot to catch up on. There is a few connections to explore. Two deaths to look at as well. Holy crap I don't know where I'll find the time. Well people were pointing fingers at GL saying he is playing too good and that he knows a little more than most, I guess they were right. I think that Merrid had connections to Eloth day one, this could be a repercussion of Eloth being lynched, one of his generals could have targeted who he pointed out? Then we had a list of susepcts that were connected to Eloth Silanah(lynched), TS and Lio. That leaves those two with possible connections to Eloth yet every faction is in the same boat (3 players left). Yet 2 out of the 5 factions look to have lost their leader. That a good quick summary of the game so far? I haven't had the time to go through the thread at all. I'm swamped, and people are off sick.

There's also the possible connection between Sorrit and Liosan which Galayn Lord was promoting right up until he bought the big one (luckily he managed to get some final dragonsecks in just before).

Another leader?
It makes Gaylord's extreme reluctance to look at Atrahal also something worth looking at.
