I agree that Sorrit needs to up their posting levels. As to what such low posting could mean.....no idea. Though the thought did run through my head earlier that any Uesugi out there might well be trying to keep their heads as low as possible today.

But then, with 18 people still around, it's pretty easy to hide in the crowd, and consequently difficult to pinpoint specific "non-attendees" as Uesugi.

or Ashikaga. There are actually two clan's that we could try to culture hunt. It would certainly give us a better chance at hitting one of them. Well 6 (I am assuming 4 per clan and 5 clans) to me is a higher number then 3.

You're right Ashikaga could try lie low too - but the difference is that there's not as much to go on because Osseric was never really under any heat before he expired, whereas there are several pointers surrounding Eloth's death, which is the reason for the focus on Uesagi, I believe.

Ultimately though, it's my personal belief that most continue to play according to their own play styles, rather than reacting overmuch to events on thread. So it comes down more to finding connections between players, rather than certain play styles. Witness the low-poster lynch in town-scum games almost always ending up with an inno dead, despite the reasoning being that killers would try and keep quiet and not make waves on-thread.

Yes right now i'd say connections and interactions are more important than a low poster hunt though mentioning it won't hurt since it might motivate people to post more, also there are quite a number of new players who are maybe trying more to get the feel of the game before saying too much.

I think though if anyone was lying low it would most likely be a member of the Uesagi as Fener says because they are going to be under much closer scrutiny.

I am around for a bit. The Liosan lynch does intrigue me.. but I have much less of a read on him as being on or off my team. I feel pretty confident that Silanah is Uesagi so I will be leaving my vote there. I will not be around for lynch as thats way to early for me.

Odd that Silanah leaves w/o placing a vote...I think he might be new... which would give his reaction a little credence...

Yeah this could be true. I think Liosan is acting strange, enough to garner quite a bit of attention but I do think Silanah is the most likely to be Uesagi really, it felt more like a reaction to who was lynched rather than the why really because on day 1, cases are generally flimsy and so to be that angry and the chain of events leading to what was a successful lynch for the majority doesn't add up unless Silanah was affected by it in some way.

while that is a valid point, there are a number of people who have been lying low all game, and its starting to bug me. not enough to vote for them, but enough to keep an eye on them. Korlat in particular has been posting very lightly, and not doing much.

Yeah, I don't see it getting away from Sil or Lio today, especially as a few ppl have said they are out until deadline.

They seem the most likely candidates for today, day is getting nearer the end now as well and they certainly seem to have been the players who have stood out the most, although with Sil it was mainly the initial outburst, with Lio he has certainly not made himself inconspicuous at all. Still I think my feeling for a Uesagi connection still leans more strongly towards sil.

I'm around, but aside from my Silanah vote, I don't have much to add atm. I'm also fairly busy, and want o get the stuff I need to do done, b/c I yearn to sleep.

I might not be around for much longer, but going on the reasons given for my suspicions towards silanah I shall vote there, not sure if I will be back before time out and it is looking like the most likely lynch. I still feel a fair amount of unease towards Liosan and the way he is generally behaving though as well. Still I think Silanah made a slip up after reading the CF of the day 1 lynch and is most likely Uesagi.

Well I am off. I am a little torn between Sil and lio as I think that I could put down a vote for either one. But I think that Sil's reaction trumps lio's jumpy behavior.

Caught up on phone. Tons of classes today, so little time.

Culture hunting is good, but TS seemes too loud to be important. And silanah was supposedly recognised by another player.

vote Silanah

First vote on Silanah today, who is most likely going to be lynched, but this is a very terrible reason for a vote.

You claim Silanah was caught signaling. Where? To Who?

This reads to me as a leader trying to suggest to their followers who to vote for without looking obvious about it.

Quote

codes? in a merc game?
that is just silly.

I dont know my whole faction, be there four or five people in it. You know yours and so don't need any kind of codes/signaling? Interesting.

Quote

well, Merrid is really being put on the spot by Eloth... could be fake-symping, since no one else followed up on the Korean bit.
I'd say it's better to go for the suspected leader. Eloth is certainly not playing the way i'd expect someone important to act.

vote Merrid

as for Silanah, the fact that they are "Redwings" may have something to do with the longevity of that joke.

Or it could be signalling.

So there is signaling now?

And those were his only two posts doing anything about... anything.

I'm guessing Atrahal is a leader trying to coast by in the middle of the numbers while not ruffling the feathers of anyone who isn't quite likely to be lynched.

He also protects Fener

Quote

see, the flaw with that reasoning, is that I don't see there being "scum" per se in this game.
in fact, i'm currently leaning to there being 4 factions of 5.

which would make a fener lynch counterproductive.

Which again leads me to believe he knows who is on his team and who isn't, which leads me to believe he has a power role.

Of course I spazzed. I had had no chance to speak during the lynch, and was too late to do anything about it. It just irked me that that kind of reasoning was taking place on the first day.

Considering that the hammer happened (at least we thought, we didn't know about the fewer votes needed) around 15 minutes before time out, I fail to see what we should have done more to give you a "chance to speak during the lynch". Timezones and all, but the timer is clear from P-S's posts.

You mean that in this game power roles know who are on their team?

Thanks for the info, power-role man! :D

Reading again, I agree that Silanah is a good Culture hunt candidate.

With a CF not on my team (I didn't realize even that it was a leader), my reaction was "fuck yeah!". If I wasn't part of that lynch train, I wouldn't have cared if the guy was lynched for having an iffy color palette in his avatar or for putting a colon instead of a comma in a post.

It doesn't mean I don't see Tulas also being Uesogi, because like Shadow says, his defense of the RP was an indirect defense of Eloth. We voted Eloth for a signaling we felt he made in the disguise of RP.

But anyways, I'm catching a plane today and I'm leaving soon-ish

Interesting, the Doublevoterz didn't strike again. At least, not both if that's what they are
