So the new Black Dahlia is predictably excellent.

That was really good!

Re-listening to the new maiden album.

There is something giggle inducing about the lyric "Just a lonesome galaxy"

Anyone else been banging the new Amorphis non-stop like I have?

Haven't even got round to the new Maiden yet thanks to Under the Red Cloud dominating my walks to and from work.

Oh wow, Amorphis is still around? Haven't listened to them in aaaaaages. Used to regularly run Tales From the Thousand Lakes on repeat back in the day.

Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Aye they are very much around, in fact they just completed a Tales from the Thousand Lakes anniversary tour earlier this year. I'd really recommend the new one, Under the Red Cloud, I would say it is among their best work. And if you like it then there's loads more like it from the past decade... they've been on a roll since their new singer joined.

I still listen to a lot of AC/DC.

I've been bouncing back and forth between Stoner & Prog Rock/Metal for the past week.

I tripped across Witchskull on Bandcamp. They've got a nice Stoner/Blues groove going on. I also got the new Clutch album, Psychic Warfare. I've been listening to that a lot as well. So, to balance things out, I've been listening to Operation Mindcrime as a palate cleanser.

Well I just got introduced to a relatively new band whose first album came out this year. Band is Alkaloid & the album is called the Malkuth Grimoire.

Pretty darn brvtal and just enough proginess to keep the whole album interesting for me. I like 'em!

I know we discussed it previously but flipping heck, the Z2 double album by Devin Townsend is stupendous! I know it has been said, but I'm listening to it again and I love it all over again! Amazing stuff!

Amazon recommended a book called Zero World to me the other day, and I read the first page using the 'look inside' thingy:
