I have put on weight! When I got back from London in the beginning of may I was sick and I staid sick for about 4 months. I went to 3 doctors! The main point though is I stopped cardio, made me feel out of breath in seconds. I managed to stick with weight training and I am doing well in that regard. I began putting on some weight during this time though.
With immigration around the corner I went through my old clothes and threw out everything Ill bever wear again, or doesnt fit and its hit me how much weight I have added. Lots of pants mostly dont fit my waist anymore, especially the ones that are one or two years old. Really brings home how much I have added recently, but also gradually over the last few years.

Been watching the Ultimate Strongman Masters on Eddie Hall's channel. Lots of interesting lifters. There's this one woman, Donna Moore, who's damn near as tall and heavy as Hall is. She's massive!

Also saw Rhianon Lovelace again. She's an incredibly strong tiny person. Saw the video where she competed against Hall for most reps in the big lifts at around 1-2 x their bodyweight. She's so damn fast.

Finally managed to max out the leg press machine with 8 plates a side.
Only got 1 rep because my knees immediately started protesting for some reason but I'm pretty pumped I finally reached that milestone. I'm gonna back off that weight a bit and work with 7 plates until I can hammer out 10-15 reps or so for three sets before going back up to 8.
Then eventually I can progress to the big boy leg press machine that can fit 14 plates. It just doesn't feel as good unfortunately.

Plate counts are good and all, but what are the weight totals?

Sorry, "plate" is common vernacular for the 20kg/45lbs plates in gyms. You'll often hear people talking about squatting two, three, four plates, etc. It's a kind of strength standard that many recognize.

Don't have as much time as I like but I try to be at the gym three times a week. I stick to barbells, facepulls and HIIT. It ain't bad. Deadlifts fixed my back problems, would you imagine.
Worst thing about public gyms is how packed they are. Oftentimes what I actually do depends on what's actually available when I arrive. I'm drawing up a plan to move it to mornings when maybe there's less people in.

The Arnold Santa Monica Strongman qualifier is about to begin on YouTube.
Never watched this kind of event live before. Looks smaller than I'd imagine but I guess they have several stages.
Will be interesting to see whether Martins Licis or Brian Shaw qualify for Ohio. I'm rooting for both but fear neither of the two will do great today.

There's no telling what his condition will be like at the Arnold Classic this year, the deadlift is the third or fourth event, but I think we might see the mountain beat the 500kg WR set by Eddie Hall. The way Thor has been performing I can see him winning everything this year if he doesn't injure himself.
