Alright, fair enough, you caught me. I need to stop agreeing with things I agree with.

Please quote one time you outright disagree with something?

Every you state an opinion you qualify it to be more middle of the road. Let's take a look:

"I'm not certain that the comment should result in a Telas lynch, but I think it should be filed away in the "suspicious statements" file. "

"This is all I have on Alkend. The "bam" thing seems strange, but I'm stretching."

"Do the quotes above lead anyone else to the idea of Anthras distancing himself from Anomandaris? It seems risky, yes, but during the second quote he seems to deny a derailment happening. I see Anthras as being Special Agent In charge and Anomandaris as Head Prosecutor. Anyone else have an opinion here? "

Here you start of seeming like you might not be middle of the road:

"
Voting for yourself does nothing. It doesn't prove any point beyond the fact that you enjoy being dramatic."

But then in kicks the disclaimer "I get the sense that you're bluffing. But not enough to cast a vote. "

Then later "I'm not saying I disagree with a lot of what you're saying" and "It's probably safe to assume that there are plenty of people like me that agree with your points, if not your approach."

"I don't actually have a huge problem with any of these votes. "

"I don't know. No evidence is particularly solid. "

"Something seems up. I could be wrong. "

You switch from "but" to "however" after a bit.

"I actually agree with you about both of them.
However, it would be more in our interest to lynch someone who is contributing little"

"I guess, what I'm saying is Kalse is the more lynchable candidate in my view.
However, I think I'd rather lynch someone who never says anything... Like Korlat."

You are extremely middle of the road, in all your posting. And your vote as well. You have been talking about how Kalse seems dodgy, pushing for his lynch, and yet you do not vote until it is a safe bet with plenty of others going first.

I disagree with you, right now. I didn't agree with the night talking, or the gun discussion. I just don't see the benifit in yelling at people.

As to my vote, I wanted to give Kalse a chance to get back to us. Sadly, I see the train picking up speed, and I don't want to risk missing it.

In order for you to be on a side you must be on a train. If you are not on 2 or 3 successful trains all game. Then depending on who you voted for during the game will decide what your winning conditions are.

It is locked in after two, but if you are on fewer than that and die you still get conditions.

Just to clarify - this is not the correct interpretation (Tellan had the right idea later on). If you die before you get any victory conditions, you lose - there is nothing awarded posthumously. If you survive to a certain point without being on enough lynch trains to get conditions that way, then we will assign you victory conditions based on the votes you have cast in the game up to that point.

And now, a vote count:

It is Day 2. 13 hours and 26 minutes remaining
18 Players still alive: Alkend, Anomandaris, Atrahal, Kalse, Karosis, Kessobahn, Korabas, Korbas, Korlat, Serc, Shadow, Silanah, Telas, Tellan, Tennes, Thyrllan, Tiamatha, Tulas Shorn

10 votes to lynch, 9 votes to go to night.

6 Votes for Kalse ( Alkend, Tellan, Karosis, Telas, Anomandaris, Serc )
1 Vote for Serc ( Tennes )
1 Vote for Tennes ( Thyrllan )
2 Votes for Thyrllan ( Kessobahn, Silanah )

Players not voted: Atrahal, Kalse, Korabas, Korbas, Korlat, Shadow, Tiamatha, Tulas Shorn

Sigh. I don't think you're a bad player, Tennes. If you're roled, you have me fooled. You just seemed like a concerned (unnecessarily dramatic) townie.

You're barking up the wrong tree.

Then why not make your opinion known at all?

In fact, with regards to the gun discussion your disagreement was what?

"I'm not certain that the comment should result in a Telas lynch"

There is a benefit for town in stating your opinions. Just not for people who are laying low.

Edited for colour.

People who type "sigh" should not be allowed to call anyone else unnecessarily dramatic.

What, no compliment Tennes for being correct about game mechanics?

And dude, you are seriously in white screen mode. We can't read half your posts because they are dark blue and invisible. Change the font to black so they show up white in the Malazan skin. FFS.

You know Tennes, I am about > < that close to voting for you. You are insufferable. You switch your vote to someone else entirely (not even a low poster, which in past posts seemed to be you primary focus). I would love to see you out of this game, and the only thing holding me back is thinking you are stupid townie. Only thing man.

There is a benifit in taking into account every opinion, as well. I don't usually reject an idea outright until I've put some time into researching or atleast mulling it over. I have stated my opinions frequently throughout this game. For example, telling you to stop being such a whiner with the self vote thing.

This is so frustrating.

I switched to the person I think most likely to be scum.

My dislike of low posters is that town doing it (and I doubt they're all roled), makes it harder to catch roled players, it gives them somewhere to hide where we've nothing to go on to tell them apart from town. But this is the very thing that makes me wary of voting them. While I'm certain there are roled players amongst the low posters, what is there to go on to say which are more likely to be town and which roled? I'd rather vote someone that I have more of a read on and reasons to suspect that person, than take a stab into the dark at a group where I have reasons to suspect there are roled players but no reason to suspect any one over another.

I'll switch skin and try and fix my posts.

No scum. Factions.

Voting town out doesn't really hurt anybody (except for that player). It doesn't help, but it doesn't hurt.

You're ignoring the complete emptiness of Kalse's posts, his relative inability to defend himself strongly, and the FM theory to vote for me because:

1. I don't want town deaths.
2. I'm agreeable to theories unless they are utterly without evidence or point.
3. There are other low posters than Kalse.

If we're going to fix this low posting problem, we have to start somewhere.

What about down the line when town has winning conditions? The more town alive (with the same winning conditions), the better our odds are at victory.

You have stated your opinions in perhaps the most non-committal manner possible.

For example "telling me to stop being such a whiner" is what? Calling me dramatic, saying "Tennes was..interesting".

Voting them out can hurt us. The more we lynch town the fewer people are likely to gain victory conditions. Losing people to NKs doesn't seem like it would hurt though.

It would hurt if you did it down the line when you are trying to specifically target a faction. Numbers will be what they will be. Preferably we don't lynch a townie. But, if they can't be bothered to do anything then so be it.

I've read through what's been going on since I've been gone, and I'm fairly uncertain as to why Kalse is garnering so many votes? Is it just because of the JA post thing, or is there more to it? And if the more is, as Serc says above, 'the relative inability of Kalse to defend himself', doesn't it strike you that a roled player might try all the harder? The votes all started rolling in all of a sudden on what seems even less evidence than even day 1. However, if I've missed something glaring, then please let me know.
Personally, what caught my eye was Anomandaris' quantity of posts compared to quality, as highlighted already. Someone who's keen to remain in sight, but also out of our attention. And what happened to his gunning for Silanah which he proclaimed near the end of night?

We're trying to get rid of the low post, low quality people. I decided that Kalse seemed the logical choice to get rid of, out of all of them. He was basically the same, with the addition of a FM theory, which makes him the most obvious target, to me.

Anomandaris is weird, and the Silanah thing at the end of the night seemed completely out of left field. He seems almost like he's playing symp, but that makes no sense. I get the feeling that something is fishy with him, for sure. As of right now, Kalse is still my target.

I just realized I'm agreeing with something again. Dammit people, stop making good points.
