The link referenced above is the definitive explanation. A few highlights:
1. Chase has said that everything one needs to know is in the last episode.
2. The structure of the shots in the scene require that Meadow walk in. These are from Tony's pov. His pov goes black because a bullet has entered his head and his brains are all over the onion rings.
3. There is a conversation in the first episode between Tony and Bobby about whether one hears it when it comes. Silvio pointedly does not hear it or even know what happens when his dinner companion is murdered. Phil Leotardo's wife does not respond for quite a while.
There's more, a hell of a lot more. The guy has an Ahab's level of obsessiveness. It's utterly convincing.
