It's like that telephone scene was written specifically to lure out the world's most horrible people:

Oh but also, great episode. Now it's just gotta take a year or whatever for Walt to hear about the return of blue meth.

I wonder how many of those people thought Walt was being completely serious during that phone call.

Indeed. Probably thought Walt was giving it large saying he killed Hank rather than saying about the death he actually faced.
I knew there had to be more to it than Hank dying otherwise why not kill him off at the end of the episode. Somehow the uncles were going to get the money and it worked very well. I also liked that Walter really did love Hank and was willing to give up hi money. Walts naivety has really been showing this season in particular.
Is walt going to lose the money or somehow leave it to Walt junior?

I think giving it to Junior would be impossible at this point. The fact that he's a drug lord is out, so his children receiving a large amount of money at any time in the future would be extremely suspect. Add this to the fact that Junior would want absolutely nothing to do with his father's money.
Things aren't looking great for Marie/Skyler/Junior. We know Walt's house is going to get trashed - probably by the Nazis. I'm just wondering if Walt's call to ensure his family's protection by the police is going to be effective enough. I have a feeling we'll see Lydia again next episode. She'll want all the loose ends tied up.
Jesse...I wanted him to live. I've been rooting for him. But now I kind of wish that he'd been shot. I just can't see how he could have any sort of happy life after all of this. A release from his anguish would be a gift at this point.
I'm also not sure that Walt goes back because of the blue meth. I think after everything that has happened, the fact that the Nazis have replicated his product won't matter. Sure, he could return to finish the job they left unfinished - killing Jesse - but I think it's going to take more than that. I think something is going to have to happen to one of his remaining family members to spur him to come back for revenge. But honestly, who really knows. 99% of my predictions have been way off base.

Walt has been way too altruistic and sympathetic this season so far, with the exception of "tread lightly" and him throwing Jane into Jesse's face right at the very end. In season 4 he was right on the cusp of evil godhood with Mike's death, the prison hits, etc and his hubris was way out of control. I just don't buy that the series is going to end with him having genuinely shed all of that. Yeah, the call to Skyler was a pantomime, but the whole "I BUILT THIS! ME!", there was once a part of Walt that would have said that and meant it, and I think it's still there. It's not implausible that he'll come back out of exile just to clean house because a) he's a megalomaniac at heart and

My former theory that he would come back to save Jesse from the white power gang seems a little flimsy now given the way he and Jesse parted. But I'm going to stand by it. The Jesse/Walt relationship is the heart of the series and it's just extraordinarily complex. I just don't think their connection is going to end as simply as it did in the desert ("I watched Jane die--fuck you and now we're arch-enemies! Have fun being a slave!") I still think there's going to be, at the end, a moment that looks something like--WALT: Jesse! I saved you from the white power gang with my bigass gun! See, I have always tried to act in your best interest! JESSE: K thx but I'm going to put a bullet in your brain anyway. THE END.

I'm kind of amazed at the split on that scene. i thought it was obvious the second he asked whether the cops were there and Skyler said 'no'.
Brilliant performance by all involved.

So for what lures Walt back
Blue Meth production/ Nazis not keeping their word on killing Jesse
Walt losing his remaining barrel and going after them because of the money
As a consequence of the Nazis (probably) trashing his house
Coming back to save Jesse from them
An end to it all. His blue meth is still going Jesse is paying as a result of his legacy and he wants it all to end taking everyone down with him.
On another note I cant take Lydia seriously as shes on the the girlfriends from Kevin and Perry Go Large

I'm figuring he spots blue meth, figures out the Jesse connections and goes all Rambo to rescue Jesse even tho it looks like he's there to kill him.
Am also guessing that in standard Breaking Bad manner this will go spectacularly wrong and Walt will end up unarmed, wounded, and at Jack's and/or Todd's mercy.
And then, if there is a god and/or Vince Gilligan in heaven, Walt will pull out a little bag of white powder and reproduce the big ker-splody scene from S1 with Tuco.

I'll admit, I didn't catch on until the middle of the scene, where I realized Walt never made those threats he claimed, nor would he ever talk to her like that. Plus the tears basically gave it away. But I wasn't quite so keen at the "no cops" bit.

Jeez. Ozymandias turned the tension up to 11 and brought everything crashing down. This episode just rubbed our faces in the dirt for good measure. Seeing how everyone's life is so broken is incredibly depressing. The call between Walt and Junior especially. Also, at this point Jesse living would be far more tragic than him dying. I'm pretty sure he'd end up committing suicide if ever gets free. I just hope he has a chance to kill Todd before he gets his sweet release.
And the opening music at the end? Perfect. Fucking perfect.
Also, what are Walt's specific motivations?
We won't know for sure until the next episode. But here's my thoughts on what went through his head when he was watching TV:
It insulted his pride. Pride is the biggest part of Walt's ego - it's his Heisenberg side. It's the one thing that will make him do things he would otherwise never do. I don't think he's going after Gretchen and Elliott, though. Sure, they pissed him off, but I doubt that he wants his son (and daughter) to view him only as a mass murdering drug dealer who killed their uncle and two unarmed family friends. Even if Junior hates his father, Walt most definitely cares what he thinks (thus his complete breakdown at the end).
Walt hears his empire is still around. He built it. E&G mention Walt never built anything and that Heisenberg is all that remains. His pride is spurring him to prove them wrong. He built this empire, and he will die with it. He doesn't want a do-over of Gray Matter where he helps build something but doesn't get any of the credit for it. Walt wants to be remember for HIS empire, and by bringing it down with his own hands he will certainly be remembered. After all, what will people think when the news that Walter White aka Heisenberg, the now-fugitive who built a meth empire, was the very same person who destroyed it?
The tagline for this half of the season is "Remember My Name", and I think this is how Walt will be remembered.

Ricin for Lydia.

for Jack, Todd, and co.
Expects
from Jesse.
Instead he'll get

I have it in my head that the last scene—or one of them—will be Jesse with Skyler in some kind of meaningful exchange. That possibility has been gnawing at me ever since the scene last season where they pick up the methylamine from the car wash, Jesse awkwardly says "Vaminos..." to her and she says "I wish..." and Jesse just stares after her as she walks away. Maybe Jesse gets money to the White family in the end?

The entire White family dies except the baby, and Jesse adopts her, finally getting the kid he always wanted. FINIS.

God damn, I can't wait a week.
I really loved the entire last ten minutes. Both the phone call and the Gray Matter appearance. I especially loved when they mentioned he had no contribution, and that just got him inflamed and awoke Heisenberg. He also heard that blue is back on the streets so he knows Jesse is out there (unless he thinks Todd finally applied himself), but the catalyst was mostly the insult to his pride.
Brilliant use of the extended intro theme too.
Also..

Cranston is such a brilliant actor. His face as he watches the news report... the subtle way it shifts as she says more or less Walter White is gone now there's just Heisenberg now... i watched that one scene three times.

One of the best things about the Conan "breaking bad" show.
