I'm sorry, but why shouldn't the finders investigate every night? It's not like there's repurcussions for them if they get it wrong, the number of times they can investigate only goes down if they get it RIGHT. And why wouldn't we want them to get it right?

I'm just talking strategy out loud. If the finders only have a limited number of kills then it's better to save them as long as possible. If we can kill scum without having to use those kills it will increase towns chances of winning. But on the other hand I see where doing finds and not finding Meng Huo would limit the number of players that we need to focus on to lynch. It's just, can the finder reveal themselves without opening themselves up to a possible night kill? And how reliable would a reveal be as someone could easily fake reveal and keep us away from who we need to be lynching.

AAAAHHHHHH!!!! I had a feeling when I first read up on this game that it was going to be very straightforward and easy to figure out. The more and more that I think about it the less and less I know which strategy to use in finding MH.

The town faction consists of two Yan Dynasty generals and all the southern regional leaders who have not rebelled. To win, the town must eliminate Meng Huo six times.

The scum faction consists of Meng Huo and the southern regional leaders who he has incited to rebel. To win, the scum must make it such that the town cannot possibly eliminate Meng Huo six times.

Meng Huo will randomly incite one player to rebel at the beginning of the game (this player remains their current role and also is Meng Huo). That player will designate a successor. When the Meng Huo player is eliminated, the successor will become the new rebel and Meng Huo and will designate their own successor. And so on, until one faction wins.

The Yan Dynasty generals are finder-killers. At night they can find out whether someone is or isn't Meng Huo. If they find Meng Huo they automatically kill him, up to a maximum of 3 times, after which they become RI. They cannot be designated as a successor by Meng Huo until after they have become RI.

Series Effects:

If Meng Huo wins, he will continue to rebel and harass the Yan Dynasty in Rot3K Chapter 6.

twelve, you've seemed confused. Here are the two relevant PS posts. There do not appear to be any scum killers and the scum primary weapon appears to be recruitment closely followed by the mishaps of the lynch of a townie. Now, the finders together have a total of three kills on MH. They can keep finding to their hearts content until they kill MH a third time, at which all their finding power is forfeit and they become like the rest of the RIs (minus the cool elephant abilities most likely). So here's the strategy I propose: Finders should keep looking until they have killed MH at least twice. At that point, using up their power may be dangerous to us leaving us vulnerable Hopefully at that point they will have given us enough info to manage the other three kills on our own.

I do have a question for PS: If a finder finds a recruit, is that recruit revealed to them? If so, it may be good for the finders to let us know who is a recruit and sit on those people until MH is killed and then jump on the recruit (who willmost likely inherit the MH position if they are the next in line). that is how i would do it

Gust, the OP says that the only info which is revealed to the finders is if they've found MH or not. I interpret that as, if they haven't, they get a PM along the lines of "this isn't MH", but with no other info, otherwise it would be way too easy for the town to then lynch the successor. That's also why once MH has been killed, people who've been investigated previously may have to be investigated again, as they could now be MH.
