Gosh, give me some time....

My English still needs some practice...

btw, while looking where I could buy your books I stumbled upon Book Depository, which ships items for 'free' worldwide (yes I realize Im probably a couple of years late). Its roughly 33% cheaper than here plus they even have it stocked! I would probably find out but it would rather be later than sooner (I didnt stumble upon that while looking for bunch of King's books) so thanks!

The Book Depository are basically Amazon but they do a good job shipping to lots of countries - so they're handy to know about.

My books aren't exactly easy-reading so fair warning. Some authors are great story tellers and use plain prose (Sanderson, I hear). I tend to work the language rather harder.

Good to know.

How would they stand in difficultness of language compared to King's books, for example Cujo?

Mistborn, along First Law and maybe Farseer are besides Broken Empire on top of my to read list, maybe I should start with that.

Probably a bit more difficult than King. King's a great writer (IMOHO) with strong prose. I'm not talking James Joyce here, just a bit more difficult language-wise than average :)

Happy Christmas.

Actually I'm just posting to try to figure out how the forum works. I went outside the thread to OTT/other literature and all I can see is 3 sub forums for particular authors and no other posts... Checking to see if this one shows if I comment in it.

oh I forgot

I read a few more pages from Amazon sample and I really liked it, so...

...I ordered Prince of thorns a couple of days ago, it hasn't made it here yet, but I'm currently reading another book anyway

should get to it in roughly two weeks, I'm really looking forward to it

happy Christmas

Shoulda bought all three, since they're (relatively) short and fantastically addicting.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Goddamn Mr. Lawrence, but you write books that I love to sink my teeth into!

I didn't know if it was possible to love a grey protagonist more than Jorg...but Jal (and Snorri...though he isn't the main POV lead) has gone and proved me wrong. Jal is fantastic, and the two together are absolute magic...and I'm only 40 pages into THE LIAR'S KEY so far.

The humour, the action and adventure, topped by stellar worldbuilding...I was initially holding off on this one in the hopes that I could wait till book 3 came and I could knock them both out in one go and not have to wait after finishing Book 2...but some lovely soul bought me THE LIAR'S KEY for Xmas and of course I couldn't keep my grubby little hands off it.

Anyways, that's where I sit right now. Dug right in with Jal and Snorri (and Aslaug and Baraquel) and trying to avoid flying viking spit and axes, almost missing my subway stop while reading.

Book 3 pre-ordered...summer won't be able to come soon enough.

In a similar vein to Tiste, i want to take the (incredibly rare) opportunity to quote a great movie directly:

"Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence"

(ps - anyone who hasn't seen that film should take the time to do so)
meh. Link was dead :(
