Read the first two. Like them a lot. Will grab the 3rd soon.

With a choice between being Peter O'Toole and Omar Sharif, ALWAYS choose Omar Sharif.

Query or two for Mr. Lawrence when he next stops by.

spoilers for LIAR'S KEY

Spoiler

I'm not answering questions of that detail until the trilogy's done, but this 'map spoiler' from King of Thorns may be of interest.

Very glad you decided to read sooner rather than later, and that you enjoyed at least the first 40 pages :(

The pre-order is much appreciated!

LIAR'S KEY done. What a fantastic book! Probably my favourite of Lawrence's books thus far. Some amazing character growth and a really compelling storyline.

So I still haven't got around to reading the new series yet... (Sorry!) Will I need a reread of the Thorns series or can I start with Prince of Fools without worrying too much about what I can remember? Also, is it now worth just waiting a bit longer for book 3 and then binging the whole trilogy?

Sounds like a plan (unless Mark suddenly turns into GRRM and we don't get book 3 for the next 5 years...)

I think you should re-read. This series is worth the eye time. I got a lot more from my second go around; little details, prose gems, that kind of thing. I have Prince of Fools waiting for my next chance to read a real book, and I will probably re-read EoT before I start.
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

Series was really good. Jorg was a much more likeable character than I would guessed reading some peoples responses on here. He is the character that does all the stuff you always imagine the bad guy doing. This may be very vague, but does anyone remember the song that was used in the first book I believe. Its a song from modern times lyrics and it gave me the hint right away that the story wasn't what is seemed at first, now I cant remember what the song was.

I'm 126 pages in right now and I gotta say I love Jorg (oh and "Yorg" pronouncation sounds better than the original, which sounds too much like "Jerk" to me, imho. I don't wanna call him jerk.)

Although I read it in English, which makes it less enjoyable to me, it still reads itself. It reads better than King to me.

I'm gonna dive into book fully tommorow or the next day, been reading it only on commutes and at school yet.

Which I recall reminded me of the Cylon's in BATTLESTAR inexplicably singing the words to the Bob Dylan song ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER...which would then show up on our earth 150,000 years later.
