Safrer yes but much more expensive and Im fairly certain hell already be getting it. Also I try to push him into buying games he wouldnt normally buy to broadern his horizons. I used to like and know alot about games but now im so far behind the curve I have to rely on you good people.

Ive just completed Res Evil 4 on the GC. Very good game as I wasnt a fan of the original RE format of no ammo for most of the game. A very good game I enjoyed thoroughly. Atm im trying to get into Bulletstorm but its not really grabbing me.


Bullet Storm is great! just great. I admit it has its off moments and the story is pretty shallow but in all honesty its epic in every sense of the word "Gunslinger". stick with it till you get the remote. remote to what you ask? wait and see. wait and see...


I can now control some sort of Reptar beasty with a remote so I assume this was what you meant :)

Finished main plot-line of ARKHAM CITY in about 5 or 6 hours total, and it has me at 20% completion of the game, after the "credits" it drops you back into ARKHAM CITY and Bats talks about more stuff needing to be done there. I played it directly through ignoring the side missions as I went, and only got 20% done....man that is A LOT of side missions.

Anyways, back into it now and started off on the Riddler stuff, and the map is covered in (!)'s to investigate. Initial plot-line is excellent and so far the side missions are just as good.

I played a bit of Bulletstorm yesterday. I agree, the game, while shallow and arcady in its approach to story an action, is really fun. I can see all the attempts at trying to make a modern old school shooter in it. It's a shame that there isn't plans for a sequel because of low sales figures.

So I am in the home stretch of ARKHAM CITY at about 65-ish% full completion (I have not done the DLC for Nightwing and Catwoman which are both about 10% of the game each), and it's bee a solid, solid ride...

...but there are Elder Scrolls to be had and a SKYRIM to be explored, so the rest of the game will likely wait till the new year.

I completed Bulletstorm and although the plot was shallow the character were very entertaining as was the action. I thoroughly enjoyed it after id got into it abit.

I'm playing Jedi Academy at the moment..... and Dungeon Defenders with Luci :) Also some Mini Ninjas XD Older games, but good fun!

Finished Bastion tuesday. Great game. Not as mind blowing as some would want me to believe but a very skill full combination of gameplay, artwork, narration and music. I liked how the ending loops the story.

Almost finished Cave Story + Thursday. Also a great game. There was something really compelling about the old school game mechanics, mixed with the classic japanese rpg story telling and the funky music. One of the characters drowned saving me. She gave me her rebreather while I was unconcious and because I didn't know I was supposed to use a rope to save her she died in that wet tomb. That actually stung a bit when I found out I could have saved her. Didn't finish it though because the game has a RIDICULOUSLY HARD series of final boss encounters that doesn't let you save in between. Now I could probably learn the rules of each fight and farm the minions that spawn for extra life but I honestly could not be bothered to try. I missed out on the best weapons of the game because I swapped my first weapon for a machine gun. Later on I would have been able to swap my first weapon for much, much better weapons.

Playing Batman Arkham City now. My god this game is jam packed with content. When standing on a rooftop I am surrounded by things to see, people to pummel and mysteries to unlock. Really liked the beginning of the game as well. This game, even more than Uncharted, has a real "movie" feel to the narration. Or should that be comic book feel? Anyway you put it, it's a masterfully crafted game.

Baldur's Gate 2. Played the first one years ago, this one halfway through. So I'm doing a replay and finish it.

I just accidentally deleted my one and only Batman Arkham City save. It was "just" 10% but it is hard for me to contain my disgust right now. Whelp. Looks like I will be playing something else for a while.

Started and finished WH40K: Space Marine over the weekend. This game was surprisingly okay, not amazing, but good. Very well balanced in combat and story. I would have appreciated the game more if they'd done more effort in telling a real story and not just the most generic WH40K story they could find in the archive. I also think they pulled their punches on the enemies. There should have been more variation, more bosses, bigger bosses and most of all they should have increased the number of enemies on screen at a time and powered up the weapons. During an orc invasion it should feel like you're walking through mountains of flesh and cutting through them like the super human being that you are.

Restarted Batman Arkham City after my disgust lessened. This game really is a joy.
