I finished up my Mass Effect 2 playthrough on Hardcore (Renegade Adept). Just started another game on Insanity as an Infiltrator, also downloaded the Shadow Broker and Kasumi content. I think I've got one more recruitment mission before I have to go to Horizon.

I've got like 10 PS3 games lying around the apartment that I've been meaning to get around to playing but I just can't really be bothered. Maybe it's to do with the fact that in a week or two my brand new gaming stationary comes in through the door. Can not wait to play some good FPS games again.

If that's Gears of war 1, I found a couple of videos on how to do it on YouTube (I've never played the game, so it is not first hand experience). Apparently, you just snipe him from cover.
Shoot bad guy in face, stay in cover and light as much as possible.
I read all the tips and hints, and it still didn't work. I ended up wasting him with the regular machine gun type - blasted him whenever the flying things left him, leaving a gap. I sat behind the first crate where you start, and just emptied loads of round into him and he died - way quicker than all the 'strategic' options I tried first.
I finally finished Assassins Creed Brotherhood. Thank god. I only finished it because I don't like to leave games before the end if i can help it.
Seriously, that game puts arrows and instructions on the screen for every single objective - it's like playing on a permanent cheat mode. The game looks nice, but where's the atmosphere, tension, challenge? Blah.
Looking forward to Dark Souls, it will be nice to play something where you actually die if you get things wrong.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I have to say that I found the learning curve going from Veteran to Hardcore was a lot steeper than going from Hardcore to Insanity.
I think the trick is anticipating which team members to bring with you, e.x., Tali and Garrius on the Reaper IFF mission. they really don't handle Husks very well.

Apparently the squad AI in GOW3 is good enough that you LITERALLY DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING.
On Easy, all you have to do is move and activate plot-devices.
On Normal, the only time you have to help your squad mates is on bosses.
On Hard, you actually have to shoot things, but it's still damned easy.

Just completed Bastion (XBLA). Very satisfying game. Ending is epic! You ( YEAH YOU!) should play this game!

Popped Castlevania: Lords of Shadow into the PS3 again. I've tried to get into this game 4 times now but this time I think I'll do it. There's these really stupid quick time fights in the opening section that have been making me rage quit but I finally made it past them.
The game certainly looks amazing and it does the GOW style combat very well.

Some of the quests get a bit repetitive. But boot stomping, crowbar splattering and machete chopping zombie brains does not.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

i finally beat the final alien ship in crysis. Id forgotten about it months ago but im glad i decided to pick it up again. Gauss rifle ftw!
