After a friend bugged me to try it several times I'm trying to play Mushroom Kingdom Fusion. It's supposed to be a mash-up of tons of classic nintendo games, so you get levels from mario, zelda, kirby, megaman, etc and can play as a ton of different characters (in any level). It's still in development, but supposedly there's a lot of levels from all sorts of games already in it. I wouldn't know, I can't get past the first Boo House... I'm terrible at platformers :D

Looks like they used lightning on them there. Did you try that?

I have a lightning spear but it isn't that powerful, they were doing 600+ damage per hit.

No no, he's just hitting them multiple times. The key here seems to be endurance, defence and poise. The kings basically doesn't do any real damage, and they don't stagger him either, so he can just hit them with reckless abandon. My pipe may change its tune when I actually get to them, but it doesn't seem as hard as a few other places.

Maybe the other people who have played the game can say where we both are wrong?

Done. If you do it like they do in the video, it's fairly easy. Mind you, I was level 86 when I took them on, so kudos to that fellow who sent in there at level 40. But the tactic should be the same: high grade armour and just pound away with a fairly good weapon, disregarding dodging and blocking altogether.

I had a fever for a couple of days last week, and decided I needed something to do that wouldn't require me to move from the bed. I figured I could try out this League of Legend's thing that all the cool kids are playing, seeing how it's free and all.

I actually quite enjoyed it. I played some DotA back in the day, and I find that it scratches some sort of itch for competition that games like EU4 does not provide. Also, surprisingly, I experienced next to no abuse, which is very different from what I remember of DotA. Probably a combination of being placed with players of similar skill, and the effects of the tribunal system. A system I find incredibly interesting as a proto legal-system.

I had a lot of fun. More than I expected. I'll never have the time or inclination to get really good at it, but I can see myself doing a game now and then to relax.

Saints Row 3. How the hell have I left a game like this unplayed for so long?

Since M$oft is finally about to bury the abomination that was GaFWL, 2K removed it from Bioshock 2. and, asa present to everyone that owned Bioshock 2 on Steam, they gave them all a free copy of Minerva`s Den DLC.

So this weekend I've been playing that. quite fun.

I'm a little behind the times but a friend lent me Assassins Creed for the XBox and i've been playing a little here and a little there when I can actually get TV time away from the children's programing so granted very little. And I'm at the point in the game where I have to go to either Jerusalem or Acrue(sp?). I like the detail of all the buildings and how real it feels but the game seems a bit repetitive already and I know I'm still early in the game. You have to go to point X avoid soldiers, sneak into a city, meet up with so and so, he gives you a mission, you go back out into the city to accomplish it only to climb to the top of all the viewpoints, rinse and repeat. Does the game change from that formula at all? I'll probably stick it out as I don't have anything else to play at the moment but I hope it gets mixed up a bit more later on.

Also, I absolutely suck at fighting so I try and avoid detection by the guards but forced to Blend in while you are trying to get somewhere makes the tedious task of traveling from one location to another a chore.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I've played some more League of Legends with a co-worker. Still excellent fun.

Not before the very end as far as I recall.

You should try honing your fighting skills. While it is relatively simple it also feels extremely rewarding when you face of against 16 guards and manage to kill each and every one of them with out any of them being able to touch you.

Such beautiful cities, so little to do. And eavesdropping missions, urg.

I'd like to see Rockstar do medieval.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Well right now I face off against 6 and I die about half the time. I'm trying to get used to them grabbing me and throwing me to the ground as they didn't used to do that. And I get confused about the counter attacking and the actual attacking. I'm like wtf I'm blocking why are they hitting me or I'm countering attacking why isn't it doing anything.

That's why I like the turn based RPGs better.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

The style does take a bit of getting used to but once you get the hang of it the game becomes absurdly easy, where you can roam the city on a murder-spree, killing hundreds of guards and not getting a scratch on you. Somehow those finishers don't get any less brutal either.

Naturally, using only the Hidden Blade to do it, also. BWAHAHAHA. I swear the AI in that game managed to display appropriate levels of bewilderment and fear when one of their guys apparently died from NOTHING. XD

Playing Bioshock Infinate. Gameplay is OK, voice acting of the two protagonists are mediocre, graphics are gorgeous and the story is intriguing. With an ending as brilliant as everyone say it is, I will give the game 7/10 burning thumbs.

The ending isn't actually that amazing (satisfying?) IMO but the implications of the games "revelations" were pretty cool.

All done now. Amazing is a strong word, but the ending certainly was very good. The feeling I'm left with, though, is that the story would have done much better as a film, doing away with all the tedious gaming elements. Like so many other story centred games it struggles with the integration of the with (in?) the story. The salts, for instance, is a massive part of the game, but is coincedental to the story. The rifts, on the other hand, is a massive part of the story but only vicariously affect the gameplay. All told I suppose I am well pleased, but very far from amazed.

I only ever played the original pokemon games and I think I did silver/gold generation aswell. Anyway ive been thinking about redoing them and playing through them all starting from the beginning. Does anyone know what console I should buy to play them all from the start? Is it a DS I need or a mix of a gameboy and DS?

Given that they're all the same game, I'd be highly impressed if (though I wouldn't understand why) you had the stamina to go through them all. By if you're set on this, I'd suggest doing ports on PC. If you insist on handheld platform, the old DS at least had input for gameboy games. Don't know if the newer iterations have that.

Does anyone else find it difficult not to move on if you havnt completed a game. It still bothers me that because I lost my save game I havnt completed Dark Souls, I cant get into Witcher 2 and Darksiders 2 isnt making me want to play it. I actually want to play Borderlands but my ocd will not let me load it up until ive completed one of the others.
