Back to AoE II DE. started chipping away at the custom Return of Rome campaigns. Played "After the Flood", which is about the hill fort of Kish trying to get a leg up on its Sumer neighbours. You start with no villagers and not enugh food to make one, but Akkadians are spread all over in the valley below your fort, and you can already train priests to start converting them. It's all fun and games until the Elamites show up raiding to wreck you.
Eventually, I figured out how you do this. And moved on to the Exodus campaign. Not a lot to say about that yet.
EDIT: finished Scenario 3 (of 5) yesterday.
The waterfall wall representing the Red Sea was pretty. Unfortunately, it doesn't collapse at any point in the scenario. I'm guessing the last 2 scenarios will be about conquest of Canaan.
