I am sitting and watching an unplugged MTV concert with Miley Cyrus for some reason. I guess it's that car crash effect where you can't look away.

I am not one of those people who feel a need to hate on what ever is the current popular pop act but watching this performance is making me cringe so hard. It's one of those experiences where you are wondering why nobody is stopping her. Why nobody has told her that the music sounds like shit, the songs are bad and her stage presence is like watching somebody breaking a leg.

I know the girl can actually sing and she has some kind of Disney talent so it's really weird watching this. Is it a part of that whole "re-imagining" she is going through, so she's just doing weird shit instead of pop music? Maybe it's because it's unplugged what ever that means since everything seems pretty plugged in.

EDIT: I also just realised that with that short hair she has she kind of looks like Justin Bieber. Maybe it is actually Justin Bieber masquarading as Miley Cyrus!

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I wouldn't normally do this but my friend is up there to win an art project sponsorship (he's in 2nd by < a couple dozen votes) and it'd be kind of you to help out. No need to sign up or in to anything; you just click the box next to Riverbank Murals (bottom right-ish) and then hit Vote. Thank you kindly if you feel like doing so, it's a worthwhile project: http://www.kcet.org/...ank-murals.html

After this, they ought to update it by adding some verses about glow-in-the-dark reindeer.

Almost the only thing reindeer are good for is being hit by the train.

Sounds like somebody was never invited to play any reindeer games.

One bump just cuz there's about an hour left in the contest. After this I'll shut up about it. Even if you voted before, you can do it again (cuz it's a once-a-day type system). Thanks to everyone who gave it a shot. Currently my friend is down by 30, so every vote counts.

As a show of my appreciation:

It's all good, I forgot to mention it the first time around as I thought it ended the 28th (which would be logical!) and I'd have more time to update. Thanks for the vote, it went down to the wire.
