The processes that need to be done to Mars to make it habitable aren't conducive to human life while they're going.
Therefore it probably couldn't be done here either, even on a less drastic scale.

We can't even manage lowering carbon emissions slightly or even recycling waste, so imagine how badly we'd fuck up anything more complicated.

So, I guess the latest bullshit that has captured people's rewired brains, short attention span nonsense is this call to storm Area 51.

Air Force warns against storming Area 51 as Facebook event reaches 1.5 million attendees

I don't know much about it, and don't really care, tbh. But I guess some initial strategies are being proposed on the most effective way to do it. Some video has leaked that shows a 'dry run' of one of the approaches being considered.

Well the day is here (Sept. 20). Either we get some answers, or more questions are raised. Or more than likely, just a bunch of dopes decide to party it up, which at the end of the day, probably is what the main goal is anyway.

From "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" -

Forever 21 has declared bankruptcy. The panel on this week's show were asked to provide a name for a store that will replace the once popular fashion destination and hangout spot for wayward adolescents at shopping malls.

She went and she left me like litter. She took all future summers with her. I lost all my money cuz I tried to bribe her. Now I can only afford an amateur sniper.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

EXTREME METAPHORS!!!

https://www.news.com...512b36e03a2f051

After a 53-21 loss to Clermont Auvergne in the European Rugby Champions Cup last week before Marler’s return, he spoke about how hard it was on the team.

“I wasn’t hurting as much as the lads who were out there but I definitely felt it and I know how hard the boys have taken that,” Marler said. “They will be disappointed with the account that we put out but we have got another week to get back on the horse and take that horse to the water and you can ask that horse, you can say: ‘Hey, horsey, do you want to have a drink or do you want to swim?’

“It’s up to that horse to then realise what he wants to do in his life. That horse, at the moment, wants to go out on Saturday he wants to clippity-clop all the way to The Stoop and he wants to say ‘hello’ to those fans.

“And he goes: ‘I’m sorry about the result last week, but I’m going to give a better performance here at home against Bath’ — he’s a slightly Irish horse. So we’re looking forward, like I say, to getting back on that horse.”

Asked after his answer, whether he was looking forward to “getting back on the horse”, Marler had the perfect response for that as well.

“I don’t like horses. I can’t ride.”

Classic.

Like Vilnius, is this place an urban legend or is it just absurdly hard to find?

I'll just keep plugging away ...

You know your team is regarded with utmost contempt when a guy retires rather than play for you. And says so.

It's the third story down "KNICKS KICKED WHILE THEY’RE DOWN". Ow, savage!

One of the worst owners in all of professional sports. Adam Silver should really try to step in and force him out.

I just realise you can't have "Norsemen" without "semen".

Works on so many levels.

Trifle not, beetle-headed dolt. Tis clear, I am a knight

I shall lacerate your liver, you pribbling ill natured maggot-pie!

Beslubbering beef-witted barnacle!

Mammering, hedgeborn moldwarp!

Spongy... fat-kidney'd... foot-licker!

Gleeking boil-brained fustilarian!

Reeky, plume-plucked miscreant and son of a venomed swag-bellied skainsmate!

BOOM!
