Not yet, but I am close to it, I think. I've just reached the Giant Blacksmith, and I'm trying to decide which sword to go for - plus there are plenty of easy Silver Knights to farm before I take on the boss/es.

Have you tried many weapons? I could go with the sword of Artorus, but I need higher faith though so I wouldn't be able to use it yet, or should I upgrade a curved sword for the Fury Sword?

I'm currently using an upgraded Drake Sword and a Lightning spear, which seem to handle anything at the moment.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

experiment with all types mate, i use different ones for different situations, got an +5 enchanted Falchion, +5 Fury sword, +5 Fire Straight Sword, +5 lightning spear, +5 magic claymore...different enemies have different weaknesses

After you kill that next boss in Anor Londo your life will get a lot easier...trust me!!

Nice. I have got a selection for different areas, and a few different +5 swords - it's just that if I've got to farm demon titanite or something for an upgrade, I want to make sure it's worth the effort. It's a pain if you upgrade a current weapon to +10, and then find a better upgrade that only needs a +5 weapon to make it.

I'm expecting the next boss to be a tough one, since Quelaag and the Golem were pretty easy, so I'm trying to upgrade everything I can.
Have you upgraded the Pyromancy flame much? I'm on about +13, and it's already devastating. Did you find the witch in Blight Town? I might have to go and find her soon too.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Quick tip you can get any standard weapon to +10 by buying small shards from the blacksmith at the undead burg, and buying large shards from the NPC at Sen's Fortress (the guy you get to after jumping the broken bridge near the end). It saves you oodles of time by not having to farm them.

My Pyromany is only at lvl 7 I think at the moment so I need to sort that. I've managed to buy all the pyro spells apart from a couple that you get when you lvl up in a covenant.
The witch is behind a pillar at the bottom...she sells you quality spells. The best pyro spell I have got so far is 'Great Chaos Fireball' does some immense damage!!

The next boss is very difficult but rewarding.

In this playthrough I could have probably lvled up to around 100, but I've stuck at 61 and am literally buying everything I can so I'm prepared for NG+ and PVP at lvl120-130

Yeah, i've been buying them, but typically, when i finally got to the Giant blacksmith I needed more. So i think I'm going to have to take a trip back. It's only a bonfire to bonfire trip, through Sens fortress, carrying a fortune in Souls. Nothings likely to go wrong there, surely?!

Then a trip to Blight Town, then back in time to take on the Anor Londo boss. Damn but this game eats my spare time.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I don't even know what it is!

Don't tell me, I'll find out. I want to go home and play, but I'm at work til 7.

Maybe I'll just jump in and try the boss before I do any more running about though.

I've found out something that in a way has spoilt the game for me...don't worry I won't tell you guys how and the what.

i worked out a way where I can fam 12.000 souls in a minute or two and rinse and repeat. I managed to to farm over 100,000 souls in about 20 minutes last night.

Damn I'm a bit annoyed now as it's gonna be easy to just upgrade stuff without really earning it... :-(

Something to make you guys weep - a guy who completed Dark Souls in less than an hour and a half.

Re: Lordvessel; it only teleports you to some of main area bonfires throughout the game, not kindled ones.

Im unsure how im addicted to this game without playing it but I am. I watched alot of those videos and I *swell chest out with delusions of grandeur* think I could take on that game. Obviously not at that pace but still....

I think i was looking forward to the release of this game more than Skyrim. Mostly because of a preview feature in Edge magazine a while back, where the developer explained how he wanted it to be, and what had changed since Demon's Souls.

Obviously you could take it on! Sometimes even knowing how to defeat a boss doesn't mean you can straightaway though. Those moments at the end of a fight when you both have a sliver of health remaining are worth waiting for.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

good job mate, thats some serious work right there.

I've said to myself that I will not get Skyrim until I get 1000pts on this...I'm almost there though.

so frustrating that boss, theres just no excuse in that game for a boss relying more on luck than any skill.

it's like running a gauntlet but pure luck if you make it!!

I did defeat it in the end though.

I think what frustrated me more was not that the boss was difficult, just the fact that you have to run for 5 minutes to give it another go. I think the red button on my pad is knackered now!! :-)

Christ but this game is hard.
Take good care to keep relations civil
It's decent in the first of gentlemen
To speak friendly, Even to the devil

Sorry if this isnt relevant but I got my brother Demon Souls for xmas as a few on here suggested. He hasnt played it yet but he said its because hes got Skyrim, which is fair enough as he got me 2 games for xmas that I havnt started.

Atleast hes going to give it a try and hopefully as a present ill be able to get him Dark Souls, which will hopefully have went down in price by then :D
