Out of sheer curiosity, if the synthesis ending was picked and Joker became part synthetic does that now mean that A) He can get his groove going with Eedee without potentially dying and B ) they can have a kid? I have my doubts about the last one unless they became the same synthetic bio breed...

And Eden Prime will never go away in the ME universe, will it?

I don't think so. My take on synthesis is that a universal genetic template is used to change all life forms to the same kind of make up (i'm very tired, I probably make no sense right now). So turians and quarians would be able to eat the same foods as humans etc. Kinda like humans and animals - we have the same kind of blood but that doesn't mean we can reproduce with each other. Though New Zealanders do give it their best try

It kinda makes sense because I think Synthesis has the highest EMS requirement, so in respect must be the 'best.' It would allow all the Normandy crew to survive on the crash landing planet, allow the fleets stranded on Earth to settle and possibly... allow the Quarians who stayed at Rannoch to whip off their masks and party - I'd hope the synthesised DNA came with a few immune system boosts!

OR it's the most elaborate form of indoctrination to ensnare even the most tenacious Shepard. It sounds like the best solution the way the starchild presents things, diverting Shep thoroughly from the task (s)he set out to do. I want to believe the indoctrination theory. I really, really do. The only way to make this not suck.

I stick by the indoctrination theory. It's why I choose destruction - besides that thing is the enemy no matter how you look at it and let's face it .... an enemy lying to us? Why I'd never. Also around the time the game was released Bioware said that for them the best ending was destrcution with high EMS points. Why on earth would they say that if something else wasn't going on?

Personally, I'm against the indoctrination theory because Bioware specifically stated that you could never be the villain, only the galaxy's savior. If Shepard became indoctrinated and ended up serving the Reapers then it would seem to contradict Bioware's statement. Serving the Reaper's and leading to the end of civilization would seem to be slightly villainous to me. I will trust the words of the series' creator over anything else when it comes to theories or ideas concerning the plot.

But even when making the final decision, Shepard believes that the choices presented to him will remove the reaper threat and save the galaxy—the choice he's making is essentially 'which one will give the best results'. I'm not sure that by choosing to control the reapers, say, rather than destroy them utterly makes him a villain. Should he have chosen to control them and then use them to destroy Earth because the power made him feel good, well then it might be seen as villainous but, in each case, Shepard is doing what he believes to be right and good so you can't fault him for that. Besides, we know that Shepard stopped the reapers, otherwise the grandfather wouldn't have been able to tell the kid the stories because humanity would have been destroyed, so it's not like he failed, either.

What I assumed when I responded (and I could very well be incorrect here) is that when Garak mentioned the Indoctrination Theory he meant that Shepard could be indoctrinated because the enemy is our only source of information regarding the three final choices. I in no way view the decision for Shepard to take control of the Reapers as being villainous, unless he were to do as you mentioned and then launch a galactic campaign of destruction. And you are definitely right in that no matter the ending you choose, Shepard wins, so we do know that Shepard ended up the hero thanks to the final little monologue Bioware provided.

Despite the divided opinion on the ME3 endings Bioware are still doing really great in the Escapist Magazines Developers Showdown

I'm supporting Bioware and Bethesda - with Bioware to win it all, of course!

I've been paying attention to the showdown and I, too, am cheering for both Bioware and Bethesda to win. There's a reason why the people over at Escapist Magazines put them in two separate brackets... Although picking a side Bethesda's current matchup against Valve pained my inner geek

In a really interesting real world application of technology, the U.S. FBI has licensed for use the graphics engine that powers ME3 for "a variety of purposes." I hope that they release more information on this subject other than what is found in this CNET article.

Yeah, going against Valve was hard but I love Fallout 3 enough that it numbs the pain of it. Does Mojang have any games other than Minecraft? Obviously nothing I've come across (or have noticed) in the past.

A showdown between Bioware and Bethesda games would be epic - think of the collateral damage! XD

EDIT: Using the Unreal Engine 3 for sims makes a lot of sense and is a potentially brilliant idea for law enforcement. Would be good to know how they plan to implement it.

Skyrim....*shakes head* The whole game was an anti-climax. It's at the bottom of my list of things Bethesda should be proud of.

EDIT: Though, that could be a bit harsh. I intend to go back and play just the main plot through at same stage - I might change my opinion then.

Yeah, but the modding hasn`t really come into its own yet in world/house/ town/ dungeon design, on account of the engine crashing on big objects.
