He's following a strict outline, so there's pretty much no chance of that.

Pat of the Fantasy Hotlist and Larry of the OF blog have the book, and both of them have been dropping comments in various places about the book. I've summed them up here on Theoryland, for your reading pleasure.
Everyone seems excited about the fact that Larry stated that Asmodean's killer is revealed in this book. It's also in the glossary. But I'm not sure why people care.

tnx.
i have to admit that after years of resentment to the series, i find it easier to admit how important it is to the genre.
i wish some things would have been rewritten , but in all, as complete saga is always good.

You should post in other threads.
Also, I kind of figured that:
I'm amused at the reader who despised Pat's review of TSG and is untrustworthy of anything he has to say about ToM.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Every time I come here, I try to find another thread to post in. I'm looking for one now. I just usually can't find anything relevant to say. I feel out of the loop.

She has a point. And if it makes you feel any better, she says the same about Jason's reviews. We all noticed the style difference with Brandon, but Pat went a little off the wall with it in some people's opinions. Deadsy preferred Wert's and Ken's reviews, since they were more middle-of-the-road and reflected her own views more accurately.

Nevermind, that was actually a very valid disagreement. TSG was pretty good, and fairly smooth compared to other volumes. I liked its balance in action, dialogue, and description. It was the spoiler comments that amused me.

Even more amusing was Larry's response. Or at least, it was more amusing to me. I posted a response to him on Westeros.
As to Gem...let me guess. She hasn't been around since the C vs E thread came to a shuddering halt?

Interesting article
Somewhat and unnecessarily, to my mind, hagiographic but it's still a diverting read.
Somewhat and unnecessarily, to my mind, hagiographic but it's still a diverting read.
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Chapter 2 is up:

I've also included all of the other free preview material in that doc, including the two prologue scenes that were read at DragonCon (a video was posted).
Also, another fanboy review from Matt Hatch at Theoryland:

And 'not a review' from Pat:

And most certainly not a review from kcf:

As an old rasfwrjian (and, really, that's the only kind anymore, the froup is pretty much dead), I was mildly pleased with Sanderson's first WoT novel, though I thought it was a bit ... workmanlike. From these samples, he's obviously gotten a better feel for the world, and is, frankly, writing in it better than Jordan did after FOH. Jordan's pacing was wildly inconsistent, but Sanderson sets up the story nicely, and not just in random bursts punctuated by turgid filler.
I finally have an avatar ... and it's better than yours.

I got the notification to say it's been dispatched this afternoon; I'm hoping I'll have it on Monday though that might not matter as I still have half of DoD to read first...
Excited!
Excited!
The love I bear thee can afford no better term than this: thou art a villain.
