They're gonna give everyone special 4D glasses at the theater.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

The Path of the Beam was first mentioned in The Waste Lands when he's explaining it to Susannah in the forest. iirc

I wouldn't be surprised if it's something that gets cut though.

Wow, it sounds like the "changes" we all see them making to this are possibly in-continuity...

Who the shit is Tirana and Pimli?

Pimli was the warden of algul siento.

Tirana was a low woman in the Dixie pig. Very minor character. Maybe they're expanding a low man character since their isn't one in the books and they really are interesting characters.

From bk 7? That's the only prison I remember.

I'm drawing a blank on Dixie Pig. So that from Calla?

Dixie Pig is from SoS. When Callahan, Jake and Oy are tracking Susannah in our world.

Algul Siento is the compound where the Breakers are working on breaking the beam.

That actually sounds like a better idea than a straight adaptation. Great decision.

Wow, I am sooooo on-board with that idea! I really hope that is exactly what it means!

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

That is seriously clever. Or the ultimate cop-out. I guess there's only one way to find out. Bring it on!
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

It IS clever!
One way to change things like Rolands skin colour as well as some of the more weaker decisions (IMHO) of the books (Flagg's endpoint for instance I thought was a waste)

Flagg's. The Man in Black's. Mordred's. The Crimson King's.

There is much to love in those books but the handling of the Big Bads, not so much.

By far the most underwhelming parts of the books

Blaine the Mono was the best developed villain in the whole thing. And not in a good way.

So two new bits of news not mentioned here yet.

1- The Dark Tower miniseries will cover Wizard & Glass. Young Roland had not been cast yet.

2- They've casted Jake. Tom Taylor got the role. The only thing of now that I recognize him from was his portrayal of Young Uhtred in the first episode of The Last Kingdom.

I was sure we had a newer Dark Tower thread some where but I couldn't find it.

Anyway, just saw this trailer for The Dark Tower, it looks good.
