Leaked Battlefield 3 multiplayer footage. Looks like it's a game tester playing it.
This is some god damn sexy FPS footage. I've never seen anything like it. I wonder how good a rig you need to get those visuals.

Interesting. However, it didn't really inform very heavily on the game.
I do worry, though, because at times the game looks beautiful. And then 3 seconds later I'm reminded of Goldeneye. Which was a kickass game, but looked like shit.

bad English aside, they certainly have a vision, and although they fervently deny being inspired by S.T.A.L.K.E.R, it seems they are challenging themselves in a lot of areas GSC focused on as well.
also, this being an indie Source game, it's easy to see graphics aren't the focus here. if they manage to pull off any of the things they plan to wrt to the AI design, this game will be worth a look at least.

yeah, I really want to hear what RPS thinks of the game.
it's supposed to come out on Steam, and run well on relatively low-budget rigs--such as my laptop.
if RPS doesn't bash it to hell and back, and if it's under 25 bucks to buy, i'll be getting it.

I have only now realised / been informed that Painkiller and Bulletstorm are polish games. Wow.
Now, the question would be: are they worth buying? Anyone?

from what i've heard, Painkiller is a great old-school FPS.
Bulletsorm tries to be one, but is smothered by Epic's inclusion of Gears of war-esque elements.
haven't played either though. Meant to get Painkiller in the Steam sale, but other things kept coming up.

Painkiller and the first expansion (Battle Out of Hell) are really, really fun. The rest of the games/expansions in the series are terrible fan-made nonsense on the level of poor mods, ignore them.

As mentioned above the first Painkiller games are AWESOME. Think a mix of the atmosphere/design of old FPS classics like Hexen, Doom, Quake and the action of Serious Sam.
I really liked the first game but unfortunately, even though I've tried many times, I just cannot get past that 3rd or 4th boss that is a gigantic creature towering over a graveyard. No matter how many times I tried to kill it I just couldn't succeed.

I was actually hoping for Borderworlds instead of Borderlands 2. I really hope they give us many different environments this time and not just wasteland. It got boring in the long run. I want seas and tundras and jungles and icecaps and meadows, etc.
I'm also hoping they actually create an actually varied arsenal and not the just the twelve different models with differing stats. The best would be if they give us the ability to strip a weapon for parts and put together our own weapons.
