Just finished Borderlands 2. Very enjoyable game with solid unforced humour throughout which was refreshing. Anyone played true vault hunter mode and is it worth doing?

TVHM is a blast. Even better is Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. Borderlands 2 is one of those games that you can easily come back to. It's not the, "I've finished the story, so I will never touch the game again" type of title. Gearbox knows how to please the Borderlands fans. I've pored tons of hours into it and will probably pore tons more hours into it. Can't wait to get the Sir Hammerlock Versus the Son of Crawmerax DLC due to be released next week. If you have played the original Borderlands (The Secret Armory of General Knoxx) then you are probably very familiar with Crawmerax the Invincible. I expect his son will prove as challenging. Loved Borderlands 2. If you haven't purchased the DLC, it's worth it if you can get it in a bundle. Tiny Tina's in particular.

TVHM was very fun. However, I stopped playing a little way into UVHM. The game went from fun and occasionally challenging to utterly tedious.

Yeah, all the modes were incredibly fun to me, until you get to the Overpowered levels. Only do those if you want the challenge, because they are a major grind and you'd better have top notch gear.

Gear is key if you are going to take a run at UVHM. Also, you will not get very far if you don't embrace the power of slagging your enemies and then using the elemental that does the most damage for their class.

Join some online co-op matches, make friends, and acquire some boss gear. This has worked well for me. I am closing in on completing the story in UVHM, by myself.

Just caught up with this thread. Dishonored's atmosphere and gameplay was brilliant -- I've been hoping that they'd make more in the same 'world' so I'm excited for this.

I've also just played through bioshock infinite burial at sea ep. 2, which I really enjoyed. Gameplay was similar to regular infinite, obviously, but with more stealth orientated stuff. The best bit was the story and all the twists and reveals.

Got around to purchasing the Wolf Among Us, and though I've just tried out the prologue I know this will be a good experience.

Never tried the Walking Dead thing, but then I'm so very tired of zombies.

I have finished my good-guy playthrough of The Nameless Mod. Will probably do a World Corp run at some point in the not too distant future.

With the Witcher 3 being delayed to next year, one of the biggest releases of the year will now be Dragon age: Inquisition. In preparation for that, I am giving Bioware games another try. to date, I've been unable to properly "get into" a Bioware game, and I've tried KorOR, NWN, and DA:O. not sure if this is a factor of poor timing (at each of those times I haven't really had the time to invest into a serious RPG) or soemethign else, but I never got very far into any of those (KotOR I had tech issues, NWN mainquest bored me to tears, and DA I got to the first big bossfight and kind of dropped the game for its blandness. Also, ORIGIN was an issue).

But now I've picked up Jade Empire again (last time I tred it was before winter exams 2 years ago), and really having fun with it. Despite the general "you are the Chosen One" tropyness, the pseudo-Asian setting helps to make me not as irritated about BioWare plot.

Jade Empire is a good time.

Anyone playing Clash of Clans? I know it is a lowly phone game, but holy shit it is fun.

I downloaded the Clash of Clans today. Not really sure I see the appeal. It's just an evolution of Travian and similar hurry up and wait style of games. This is obviously meant as a game you play for 5 minutes or so a day, while buildings are constructed, etc. but I'd rather play a simple match 3 game if I am looking to burn some time.

I see Borderlands is very popular on site. I havnt been online play to be honest I neglect it in alot of games. If I can get the DLC in a bundle like you guys said up thread ill go for it. My gf got me it and didnt realise the GOTY edition had just come out which I imahgine has all the DLC.

Also theres a new prequel coming out soon where you can go claptrap and the sheriff of lynchwood, willhelm and some guy from the first game that I havnt played so that should be good.

Speaking of online play im not sure whether I want to get into Borderland TVHM or go back and see if I can play Dark Souls PVP. Ive never done any of the online stuff for Dark Souls and especially with Dark Souls 2 being out and looking amazing I just want to get my fix.

Apt you can sit and play that game all day if you want. The raiding of other peoples villages to steal their sweet loot is loads of fun. They just added clan wars so you can go head to head and match up with another clan, and if your base is shitty you will let your clan down. It's brilliant.

To be fair, there is a hurry up and wait element, but that makes it perfect for a phone game. Got five minutes? Go in a raid, then set an upgrade going and then forget it until you are pooping later that day, then you pull it out and see your upgrade is done and it is TIME TO RAID SOME FOOLS AND STEAL THEIR SHIT AND SCREW THOSE GUYS ANYWAYS FOR HAVING SUCH WEAK SHIT BASES ANYWAYS.

Or something like that.

So, I've Clash of Clans running the past couple of days. I am approaching the end of my shields count down.

What happens if and when somebody attacks me? Will they only be able to steal my ressources or can they also destroy my buildings? Practically levelling my village?

Is there a cool down or grace period after you've been robbed where you can't be attacked again?
