EDIT: The great heist mission is included in the GMG version as well. Pretty common that they throw in those kinds of small sidemissions I find.

I've been reading and watching reviews of South Park: The Stick of Truth all morning.
It sounds absolutely fantastic. I haven't been following the series the last 5 years or so but of the material I have seen, this might be the best "licensed" videogame I have ever seen.
I so want to play this game but I already bought Thief last week and next week Titanfall is coming out.

I can't quite remember the lore of the first game but this suggests to me that the sequel takes place in the Empire, which sounds great. Of the stuff we hear the Empire sounds like a place where Corvo or who ever can get into all kinds of magical trouble.
Interests:40k, Star Wars, Babylon 5, WW2, A Song of Ice and Fire, the Drenai series, the Riftwar and all that followed it, D&D, Vikings, the Malazan Book of the Fallen. I think you get the gist of it.

This is welcome news. While the story ok (nothing special really) I liked the atmosphere of the game. Plus the gameplay itself was very fun.

I doubt they would chose to use Corvo again. Or, if they did wouldn't they have to decide on the bad ending to be canon? That would be a shame. I worked hard to ensure the best possible ending for that game.
I agree with Garak. The story was ok, but nothing special. The atmosphere though, that was great. And I really enjoyed the mechanics. Teleporting between soldiers and all that.

I didn't really like Serious Sam 3. I appreciate what they were trying to do, bringing old school arena style levels of wave based murder and mayhem back, but I just wasn't having fun in that game. I think it was mainly the way they rationed the weapons that ruined my fun.
I want to get excited about Tales from the Borderlands but I am curious if this is going to be episodic like The Walking Dead and the Wolf amongst Us.
I am happy for Telltale that they had a lot of success with The Walking Dead but taking on four projects at once, Walking Dead, Wolf among Us, Game of Thrones and Borderlands seems a bit too ambitious for a studio that has just baloon to 3 or 4 times its original size.
Both the second season of The Walking Dead and The wolf amongst us has had delays and long periods of silence from the studio, which is disappointing when the products are episodic and meant to be released with a month, two at most, between each episode.
Well, since these types of games are more story driven then technical game-play mechanics driven I think they can pull this off because Gearbox will be doing most of the heavy lifting with the story. The rest is just to make sure to get the aesthetic of the Borderlands universe down pat and to make adjustments to the game mechanics/system to stay in line with the look and feel of Borderlands.
Man, there could be so many awesome cameos in this game (and sweet Easter eggs too). I'm looking forward to it, but yeah; I have some small apprehension myself on what the final game will be like, and whether it will deliver that sweet Borderlands feeling you get when a legendary loot midget drops a lvl 72 pearlescent weapon.

And Eurogamer has a short article about Farcry 4. Apparently it is set in the Himalays and is aiming for the 1st quarter of 2015.
I really liked Farcry 3 so I am very happy with that news. It's "only" a 2 year development window but honestly, they could have just published new island DLC for the old game and I would have been happy.
I am curious to see what they do with the Himalayan environment. So far the Farcry games have been set in tropical environments, this is a complete turn around.

Don't know if anyone follows the personalities of the video game industry but Giant Bomb did a show live from GDC that everyone should watch. They have all kinds of people on the couch, from Idle Thumbs, to Phil Fish and Zoe Quinn and the grand finale where you have some visibly drunk big shots like Dave Lang, Ed Boon, Max Tempkin and John Vignocchi sitting and insulting each other and being generally hilariously embarrassing for 20 minutes.
Giant Bomb are not particularly serious or in depth but I absolutely love the relationships they have cultivated with various videogame famous personalities.

For those of you who haven't heard of it, it's a silly mix of God of War and 80s action movies. Think Kratos replaced with Action Jackson and lots of explosions.
A horror exploration-fps. looks a bit like Call of Cthulhu: Dark corners of the Earth but with open world. Anyhow, I have a soft spot for startup teams with ambitious projects, so I tossed some money in, and wanted to let other people know about it.

I like the sound of this game. It looks ambitious. How ever that also seems like a problem to me. 60,000 is not a lot of money for the level of design and scope they are going for. I don't know what the living expenses are like in Spain but in the US 60,000 wouldn't pay the wages of one professional videogame designer or programmer.
Maybe they are much further in their development than I imagine, they say they have already built the fundamentals, but I don't see how 60,000 is going to keep them going for a year.
Just finished Borderlands 2. Very enjoyable game with solid unforced humour throughout which was refreshing. Anyone played true vault hunter mode and is it worth doing?
