Kasch, does outlining your opinion of best strategy count as a "subtle" way of playing the game? It's either you deliberately being misleading, or trying to clue your team to something. I can't help but believe that your reasons for posting a big explanation like this is meant to obfuscate rather than to actually explain your opinion. After all, when you say we aren't "useless idiots" I assume you mean yourself as well. So, you are also attempting to play a "subtle" game and manipulate attention.

Just a weird post if you ask me.

@Serc

Lol, at least I'm an honest parroter by boldly claiming that's what I was doing. Posted Image It's day 1, not much to speculate on, and everyone has the same reasons to hide in a merc: role&team, but mostly team.

Like Tellan is Kaschan's leader and is telling Atrahal that, but Atrahal took that as a reason to vote Kaschan because he's not subtle enough.

Well, that's 3/5's of one team. This game is easy! Posted Image

You are making out as if the guys playing this game are useless idiots who would give their boss away at the first chance.
But they ARE going to open their eyes more if there leader is making a case and you would be daft to ignore that.
So be my guest.

Although you are not directly responding to me in your last few posts, I would like to come back and remind (yourself included) that your original comment was "i expect allot of people jumping onto trains for weak reasons following their leaders. ", and that is what I reacted to.

Your recent posts say more or less what I was throwing at you originally and got you all reeled up.

you took what i said the wrong way.
Or rather i just what i meant incorrectly in my haste....maybe a bit of both. although i suppose i am to blame.

The reason I even brought it up was BECAUSE it will not be obvious vote piling. I was saying it to bring attention to it.
I expect people will see their leaders vote or make a case, and do SOMETHING about it. As its great intel.
Not jump blindly/immediately onto the train FFS!
I didnt mean it to say they would be obvious when they do it.
Thats an insult to the mafia we play here, i am taking it for granted that you would understand that. But clearly not...
The leaders have all the info we need...so when they vote i am expecting... something...as the team are looking at the leader for guidance.
Thats it in a nutshell...Not that difficult to understand, simple concept.

Well, you put it this way and I agree. You're trying to work out your team and doing it as subtly as possible so that no one who isn't on your team catches on. But obvious point is obvious, so your efforts to point out certain ways to signal (i.e. deliberately spelling out certain ways on thread) gives a different vibe.

How is my play not subtle? Yes im loud and opinionated. But i have not given any indication as to who my team could be.
The only thing you know is how i think my leader SHOULD be playing.

I have not even voted for anyone. The only people who know for a fact i am not on their side are the other leaders.
SO...
If i start talking about how leaders should play or how they ARE playing i would think the only people i would get pissed off are other leaders who know Im not their team.
At the same time i can tell my leader how i would like him to play or at the very least, show him how i will be perceiving his votes and cases :p.

edit - sentence made no sense said same thing twice

Good luck trying to follow your leader on his votes after your little spectacle there :p

Better come up with plan B for your own votes, or are you planning to keep talking a lot about how others should play without voting for anyone?

Merc game sare always a few days of pussy footing around and no one actually saying the stuff everybody thinks SHOULD be said because they are scared of getting lynched.
Im rather keen to get this flippen thing going as my time is limited.

So i decided im going to play rather bluntly. ...anyways

back to this.

Atrahals reason is that i "rub him the wrong way" and that i have found info in the PS OP that he deems irrelevant ....how does that mean im not on his team?... god knows.
and that other one from Tellan seems to be a mix of diffenece of opinion and the fact that i was saying we should not completely ignore the fact that their COULD be a hidden 4 man faction. EDIT - and that mockra told me to "shuttup" apparently

Hardly anything to defend there as their own votes are rather daft if you look at the context of this game... being a merc game.
Why did they REALLY vote?
I can only assume they dont think (or know for a fact) i am on not on their team...dhuur....but why?
That is something im trying to figure out...

Maybe they are in this hidden faction? and im hitting too close to home?
I have not attacked anyone and cant have given my allegiance away by having attacked a leader...not yet anyways.
Maybe they are the leaders of other factions knowing well i am not on their sides and have decided i am talking to much shit with regards to how they should play.
Maybe one of the others that i have had differences of opinions with are their leader and they are taking the initiative?

Or Maybe they really think that difference of opinion = different team :p

No. It doesn't say that. It presents a hypothetical and presents an easily achieved answer to that hypothetical.

Something is rubbing me very wrong with Kaschan. Despite the fact that I think his cluelessness might be purposeful:

Remove Vote.

Vote Kaschan.

My apologies. Sarcasm comes off very badly in text form; especially when I'm tired. Discussing hypothetical teams and number distribution and mechanics is usually absolutely pointless on the first day, as I said earlier.
That said, Tellan, you're being quite aggressive towards the idea of a fourth team, more so than I would consider necessary.

Clarify that please. I'm not sure what you are claiming I'm claiming.

I'm not claiming anything, I'm just noticing you're rejecting the idea out-of-hand, which is fine, but then placing a vote on the person who brings it up, which strikes me as rather aggressive play on the first day of a merc game.

There has been plenty of discussion already of the 4th team being composed of 4 or 1 person, you're not the first to bring up the possibility of a 4-man 4th team. We're at it for the past 60 posts/12 hours or so. Consensus is however that 1 person is likelier than 4.

Then, we get Kaschan pushing for a 4 man possibility, Serc reacting to that, and Mockra being tired of discussing set-ups. Sounds like Serc is defending and Mockra giving hints to Kaschan to shut the fuck up. Now, since he may be leader material, he ain't mine, so:

vote Kaschan.

I'm away for an hour or 2.

im not pushing for anything...merely speculating.
Tellan bloody well asked me to elaborate on my thinking and i have.
PS opening post clearly states that their could be another hidden faction, why else put in that winning condition for other unknown factions of it is not a possibility?
Now i get votes for stating fact?

How does any of this make me leader?....i dont know.

Mockra giving ME and ONLY ME hints to shut up? ...where?

haha... weak...

Oh, just go and fuck yourself, will you?

A single extra player A.K.A. ONEMAN FACTION is exactly what I have been saying all along and now you portray yourself as a victim for saying there could be multiple factions. If you pull your head, your shoulders and your fingers out of your ass, you would see from the past 60 posts that it is NOWHERE contested that there is a 4th faction. What we debate is the size of the faction.

So yes, you're stating fact. As was everyone else before you. However, you are disputing anyone else was stating fact and now play the willing victim for that. 'Mummy, I put forward a theory and I get slaughtered for it... please go and swat the bad guys, pweeeeez?'

Also, your 'elaboration' is: there could be this, there could be that, I dunno... lolz.

very elaborate. Very middle of the road. Very don't look at me.

I agree on all the "Maybe" hypotheses, which is why I wondered why you don't lay it to one of them. On the same post you complain that the first few days are always pussy footing around, mister Kettle.

I think after all this, Atrahal could be following his master Tellan in the vote, riding a massive wave of WIFOM that will blow us all away.

Oooh, I hit a nerve. Sweet.

Of course the moderator mentioned factionS. Why would he say 'if there is a hidden faction, it will have this and this goal?' That's owning up there is a hidden faction, and that there's only 1 of it. The assumption that it is one faction and that it consists of 1 guy is based on math.

what do those words tell you.
I dont think its as cut and dry as you seem to think.

Yes it could just be one man, but ill be damned if PS does not allude to something entirely else happening that we dont know of.

Yes it could just be one man and im inclined to think that way too, but to completely ignore the fact that there could be another big team out there is stupid
Unless you know the size of your own team and therefore have a better info than i do?
