I've recently seen a few solid acts, the first were at the Evolve music festival where I saw Edward Sharp & the Magnetic Zeros, Pretty Lights, and even Fred Penner! :p Unforunately I missed DubFX which is a shame as I am told it was outstanding.

Last week I had the chance to see the Dropkick Murphys tear up a smaller venue and what a mosh pit! Afterwards I was told Flogging Molly will be coming to my city in September as will Girl Talk apparently. I'm pretty stoked for both shows. :)
And so the First denied their Mother,
in their fury, and so were cast out,
doomed children of Mother Dark.

On Saturday night I saw Yob, with Dark Castle, Dispirit, and Worm Ouroboros supporting. Was sooo crushingly heavy, amazing show.
Laseen did nothing wrong.

I demand Telorast & Curdle plushies.

Oh man, I had the supreme pleasure to see WITHIN TEMPTATION live for the first time. One of my fave bands EVER.

And it was fucking INCREDIBLE!

I went to see ACDC in Spain which was awesome. I first went to see them when I was 15 over 11 years ago in Manchester and they rocked. I love an ACDC track now and then.

Worst I went to was Will Young in Wales

I went to see The Zutons in Delemere Forest who are awesome and totally rocked.

Michael Buble was entertaining in the Liverpool Echo Arena

The only two big bands I've been to see are Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains, (with the new singer) both of which were awesome. I've been to a load of smaller gigs including a couple of Ginger (from the Wildhearts) gigs.

Also I'm off to see Incubus in November Posted Image

Pearl Jam live was funny, because they get better and better through their set. Because Vedder gets drunker and drunker.

Went to a dance festival a week ago. A lot of unknowns, even more up-and-coming artists, and a few bigger names, of whom the Detroit Grand Pubah's appealed the most to me....must be because they've got a cd called Galactic Ass Creatures from Uranus. Everyone with such a bad sense of humor is fun.

They did a great live set with a saxofone player thrown into the mix, which was awesome.
I'd have linked The Clapper but the album pic might be a bit NSFW to be displayed as a picture...so here's the linky: She got me sick....ohhh!

but for those of you who like it rough: see if you can find a DL or copy of Nobody Beats The Drum remixes: their own music isn't up to speed yet, but the remixes are quite awesome.

Was personally most impressed by Baskerville, which originally was a producer's duo but is now expanded to a band/dj set doing good stuff. They've done a set on Sziget in 2010, and I wouldn't be surprised if they go abroad again in 2012.

Not much unfortunately, I've only seen Iron maiden and Napalm Death although both gigs were phenomenal.

Well I have a fairly stellar line-up of shows to go to starting in two weeks.

ELBOW on Sept 28th

NAKED & FAMOUS on Oct.6th

MUMFORD & SONS on Oct. 25th

HEY ROSETTA! and THE JEZABELS on Nov 23rd

So it's going to be an awesome fall-winter concert-going season!

Saw Branko Galoic and the Skakavac Orkestar in my hometown on tuesday, will visit his cd-presentation tomorrow. I doubt any of you guys will ever have the opportunity to see them perform, unless you're german, as that is where he is heading now.

in fact, while their latest cd may be complete and utter crap, live they're really quite alright in a minimalist and uncomplicated way. Next: probably The Cure (which I detest). Tomorrow, several not very good bands, Soundgarden and Linkin Park (or a day out on Aachen), monday Blood Red Shoes and as a kicker, Bruce the Boss Springsteen.

Recently went to see Newton Faulkner and he was great. His Interaction with the crowd was especially good.

Also Mumford and Sons are playing a festival they've put together in my town next weekend, and they have asked my band to open the mainstage and play the afterparty for them. :)

So yeah im properly excited, especially as i was going to go watch them anyway Posted Image

I hate you soooo much right now. :)

*starts plotting to steal QT's ticket*

Recently I can add Numbers Radio, The Butterfly Effect (2nd time), Dead Letter Circus (2nd time), Twelve Foot Ninja and Fair to Midland to the list of bands I've seen.

Coming up: Karnivool in July (5th time :)) and Hilltop Hoods in August.

well, yesterday proved entertaining with Babylon Circus and The Boss Hoss and the unbelievable Kyteman Orchestra. Today, the Shoes were OK (crap crowd) and killing time until Bruce Springsteen starts.
