God of War downloaded and ready to go - just waiting for it to unlock at midnight. I'm vaguely excited Posted Image

It will be delivered tomorrow for me... it has been a while since I was genuinely excited about a game but with this - especially after the reviews - I cannot wait!!

Played the first couple of hours last night. So far, the reviews are right - it's incredible. Enjoy!

Cheers... you and the reviews are not kidding...

I've played about 3 hours so far and I already know that this is going to be one of the best games I've ever played...

It's just stunning all around, definitely a wide-eyed-open game!!

I'll post more in the dedicated thread later.

Edit:

I may get it. Way way down the line when it's $20. Only one I ever beat was 3 and that's only cause my homie rented it in the hopes he could come use my PS3 to play. We took turns and I had fun. Afterwards I bought the disc that bundles 1&2 for PS3 but have never gotten much past the start of 1.

New one does look fun but definitely not a must have at midnight for me.

After playing it BK, you definitely should get it!

Yeah, I'm getting that feeling, too, after about six hours. And the music! Bloody hell, it's epic.

Picked up a few games over the past week or so, all for PS4.

From Amazon:

Nier Automata £20
Assassin's Creed Origins Gold Edition £35

From PlayStation Store:

Dishonored Complete Collection £25
Mass Effect Andromeda £6 (at that price I figured it was worth the risk!)
Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag £6

and also Detroit Become Human at full price.

I picked up that ridiculously cheap Mass Effect Andromeda as well on the PSN. Will probably take me a year to get around to it.

The Assassin's Creed Origins Gold Edition is up to £55 on Amazon today, so I'm glad I got it at the weekend, saved myself £20!

Steam sale time.

I'm not planning to pick up anything over 10 bucks.
But given there's a bunch of Platinum titles on sale, my wallet will still suffer.

I picked up Deus Ex: Human Revolution and the first Assassin's Creed for a grand total of under £5 in the Steam sale.

steam sale haul:

-Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance-Platinum fix
-Vanquish- Platinum fix
-Resident Evil HD remaster- I never played Resi, figured I should see where it started
-the evil Within- because apparently the second game combined open-world and survival horror, so I'm intrigued (and it was 75% off)
-also, another 1st person physics puzzler called Magnetic: Cage closed. It was on my wishlist, and it was like 90% off, so i got it for under 2 bucks.

I considered grabbing the DMC games, but the remastered original trilo is only 33% off still, so I figure that can wait until the winter sale

EDIT: also spent 20 bucks on God Eater: Rage Burst, but that apparently gets you 2 games, since it includes the original (God Eater: Resurrection). So it'll be a good thing to have when I feel like killing some giant monsters.

There'll probably be a Uplay summer sale as soon as the Steam sale is done.

I think I've finished with the Steam sale. I got:

Deus Ex: Human Revolution & Mankind Divided
Dishonored 2 & Death of the Outsider
Assassin's Creed
Prey

I also got Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag to see what it's like on pc, only to find out that it apparently dislikes Nvidia 10 series cards. Frame rate's all over the place. I tried various fixes, none worked, so refunded it. I'll stick with the PS4 version.

I traded in a whole bunch of stuff and got God of War and HZD in return without paying anything extra. Quite chuffed with that tbh.

Starting with God of War. Hopefully I'll get both finished before the baby comes...
