Pyre and What Remains of Edith Finch are on my to play list.
Pyre because same developer of Bastion and Transistor. And I've read raving reviews of WRoEF.

Thing about Pyre is that I didn't like Transistor much. I thought it was all style and little substance. Didn't enjoy the fighting system, nor the story or what little there was.
I'm worried I'll have the same reaction to Pyre. I really respect Super Giant's willingness to invent themselves ever game but I wish they'd just do a Bastion 2.

Picked up Madden 18 in the PlayStation store sale, so I can play it with friends.

HZD: Frozen Wilds off the PS Store for £9.99. Although, thinking about it, I probably won't play it for quite a while, so may as well have waited and got it cheaper in a later sale
Also, got Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for free as part of the PS+ membership.

GOG having a "Chinese New Year" sale.
A few things on my wishlist have crazy discounts, so why not?
Tyranny: Commander edition
Kyn-an old-schoolish party-based RPG
Okhlos- a Devolver mobber/strategy where your philosopher has to lead a mob to kill the pantheon.

Holy ridiculous surprise Steam Sale, batman!
I get home to an email informing me that 17 items on my wishlist are on sale. A day before payday, no less.

I saw a rumour about the Steam sale the other day and I'm glad I did, cos I was going to upgrade my vanilla Borderlands 2 to the GOTY edition for £34.99 - instead I got it for £7.69

I was more excited about the announcement of a revamped Steam Wishlist for your account. Doesn't really impress me though. I wish there was some way to better sort or catalogue the games on your wishlist. I've got over 250 games on the wishlist by now. It's impossible to navigate the damn thing.

Time to crack out that holiday prepaid card....
for about 20 bucks, the latest Steam sale gave me:
Sleeping dogs
Deus Ex: The Fall ( I KNOW it's supposed to be horrible. But I read the "Human Revolution" prequel novel, Icarus Falling that has Ben Saxon as the protagonist, so I feel obligated to see where his story goes... and it was only 3 bucks
MGS: Ground Zeroes. I never played an MGS game, so I figured for 4 bucks i might get a taste before committing to smth like Phantom pain
Technomancer (reviews are mixed... but I intend to play all Spiders' games this year... and I doubt it can go cheaper than 75% off)

Origin has a very good sale going on right now.
Picked up Mirror's Edge: Catalyst and the GOTY ediditon of DA: Inquisition for just over 20 bucks.
Also, Origin is giving away Dead Space for free. This is like a 3rd copy of Dead Space I own (Steam, GOG, and now Origin). I really need to get around playing it...

I... I just dropped £70 on Skies of Arcadia Legends. And I could cry. I've missed this game so much. And I'll be able to play it again soon.
Six hundred and twenty hours of my life have gone into this game in the past. Let's make it six hundred and sixty.

Is that the one that came on Game Cube?
Yes, the expanded version (I can't call it a remaster as the graphics weren't altered, it's literally just additional content).
Fun fact, I think the Dreamcast original (released in 2000) is the first game that had DLC? It was free, back then, and added in some extra places and functions. Legends expands on that with extra Discoveries, optional boss battles that scale with level, and some additional storyline / backstory for the main characters / final boss.
When I put it in, a tear was shed as it loaded. Holy shit, it's 18 years old and starting to look a bit dated, but it plays beautifully, the mechanics are still excellent and the music... I've never known any other game that has boss music that actively changes depending on whether you're winning or losing the fight. Perfect.

Nier: automata is 50% off on Steam.
I'm very tempted, but I have several Platinum games on my to-play list already, so I think I'll wait until the inevitable Summer sale.

I have acquired Warhammer End Times: Vermintide 2. Sure, it's a preorder and the game is in open beta with "just" three maps. But it's fun as hell.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first game and I have no doubt that I'll enjoy this one as well.

As mentioned elsethread, I decided to go back and check on my Kickstarter project history, b/c I still didn't get a copy of Kingdom Come: Deliverance
-Ended up collecting a bunch of games I supported before:
-Nekro (steam Key)
-Sir, you are being Hunted (DRM-free from Humble)
-Unrest (DRM-free from Humble)
Son of Nor (Steam Key)
Satellite reign ((DRM-free from Humble)
Jagged Alliance: Flashback (DRM-free from Humble)
Universum: War Front -(direct download)
Also, apparently a long time ago (like in 2012) I bought the THQ Humble Bundle, and never redeemed it.
So now I have Dawn of War 1 GOTY, Red Faction: Armageddon, Company of Heroes, and Titan Quest, and Metro 2033 on Steam.
EDIT: also, the people from Numantian Games apparently got back to me re: Lords of Xulima, but the email got lost somewhere in Gmail.
-So now I also have that game on my GOG shelf.

Another monster sale on GOG. For St. Patrick's day this time.
I'm seriously tempted to pick up the Enhanced Edition of "Dying Light" at half-off, b/c it's virtually never been on sale.
I know it's way cheaper on Steam, but I want to support the DRM-free version in this case.
