Bought:

Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas
FINAL FANTASY VIII
ABZU
Virginia
TRANSFORMERS: Devastation
Resident Evil 6
Turok
Dropsy
Shelter 2
Enter the Gungeon

Played a bit of Oceanhorn. This game really is an unapologetic Zelda clone. Same gameplay, same items and equipment, you sail between island in a little boat, etc. Pretty fun.

How are the dungeons in Oceanhorn? I was going to get this, but I read that while the game is like zelda the puzzles are almost non existant.

The puzzles have been somewhat basic so far, but they are also slowly introducing new skills and mechanics over time. I just got a magical summon rocks from the sky attack/skill that can push buttons from a far.

So far it's mostly been push block or blow up stuff puzzles. However it seems like it's the islands themselves that are the puzzles. Each island you sail to is self-contained and you make your way around it. A large part of the challenge is connected with looking at the trail or platforms in a 3D perspective.

Might give it a go then. I think the reviewer I read was expecting something Zelda-esqu in the dungeon department and was feeling let down by pushing blocks.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Mankind Divided is on sale for 21 dollar.
I'm tempted, but then again I feel I should wait for a proper, all DLC included bundle.
If it's out for less than 6 mints and it's already going on a 70% off sale, the complete edition will be cheap enough soon.

Mankind divided is now off at 75%, lol.
It's under 20 bucks, so I grabbed it. But the DLC's not discounted, so i'll probably keep it in my library until I can pick those up cheap.

Been playing a bunch of Prey (2017) this weekend. It's really good. Never played the system shock games so can't comment on their inspiration but so far it definitely feels like a mix of Dishonored, Deus Ex and Bioshock. Really detailed, highly complex environments that allow you to explore in a multitude of ways.

So far I am not very fond of the combat, I've only encountered 3 kinds of enemies so far and none of them are easy to fight. This might be seen as a plus for some but it basically means that fighting things in this game is an exercise in patience in the face of erratic enemies that become frustrating after the initial few encounters.

However I am rapidly accruing new skills and new weapons that are making each encounter more controllable.

Picked up the order. I've heard that there's some good in with some bad, and it's short as all hell but very pretty. $4 sounds right.

Steam Summer Sale 2017 starts tomorrow.

It's a losing battle for me. I've finally managed to whittle my back catalogue down to a dozen or so games I'm not motivated to play. But in the mean time my Wishlist has now passed 200+ games. Some of them I'm only really curious about but the wishlist seems to be endless.

I actually avoided buying anything during the GOG sale.

I think unless I see a really good deal (like 66-75% off) on my triple A wishlisted games, I can easily avoid buying stuff in this one as well.

Really, i'm only looking to pick up Deus Ex MD DLD for cheap, and see if there's a good Total Warhammer bundle.

Maybe Surge, if it's already heavily discounted.

EDIT: oddly enough, GOG has a game I'm actually interested in on a 66% off sale. SO once I get my paycheck tomorrow, I'm gonna grab "Homeworld Remastered"

Bought a ton of games yesterday. Mainly games under or around 5 euro, but I did splurge on a few special games, like Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, The Turing Test, Hyper Light Drifter and Tropico 5.

The Turing Test
Disney Epic Mickey 2
Hyper Light Drifter
The Magic Circle
Milkmaid of the Milky Way
Lara Croft GO
Dead Effect 2
Bombshell
Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor
SPACEPLAN
The Flame in the Flood
Batman: The Telltale Series
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
ClusterTruck
Tropico 5 Complete pack
Plantera
Rubek
Headlander
Valley
Disoriented
Submerged
Sonic Adventure DX
Toren
SteamWorld Heist

I tried out Dead Effect earlier and refunded it after 15 minutes. It's like a 90s FPS made with Unity assets. The quality of that game is beyond abysmal.

I'm tempted by Total Warhammer @ 66% off, but I KNOW I won't be playing it anytime soon.

So I'll probably leave it for the Winter sale.

I seldom buy games now a days. It's mainly around the big sales on Steam that I go on a binge. It's certainly cheaper.

Mind you I just checked and I apparently own 780 Steam games :(

What is the rule for steam sales these days. They no longer have timed bonus sales right. Do the prices and games on offer no longer fluctuate at all?

No, since refunds are now a thing, steam sale prices are static, and theres no more flash sales.

I've been selling a ton of my Steam cards during this Steam Sale so I financed another few purchases. I bought Hollow Knight, The Sexy Brutale and Assassin's Creed 2. If the cards continue selling heavily I'll probably pick up Assassin's Creed Brotherhood as well.

...and I burned through Ratchet and Clank last week while on vacation. What a fun game. Started playing Challenge Mode just so I could upgrade the weapons I didn't really use. A maxed out Goatinator and all the Plant Holocards sure gives you a lot of raritanium. :apt2:
