Gavin is on-target today...! From the game thread:

View PostEloth, on 15 December 2009 - 02:59 AM, said:

Something about the reveal doesn't make sense to me, but not what your saying Karatallid. From what I understand is Kalse is the sender of the messages and not Sorrit, so it would never be transfered to you so you shouldn't have got it.

But why would if Sorritt knew who Kalse is, would he go and build a case on him on Day 3?? And why would Sorrit know about the reflection? Why would Kalse even mention it to him, and not mention a way to sign and counter sign without building a case and voting?

Something isn't right here, I'm not sure if people are holding back, or there has been a recruit or something else but the story doesnt' really add up.

Regardless 2 hours to go or so we aren't lynching today.

Fantastic analysis by Gavin here, although his time in the game is limited with current provisionals.

I still have to put Obdi, Shin, and/or alt146 as my players of the game thus far based on their continued abilities to fly low and figure out quite a bit, but Gavin's got a good push for a title bid right here.

Gavin sets up Shinrei to receive the business end of the Bride's sword tonight. Looks like he's done for, sadly. Was rooting for ya, buddy =( On the bright side, he's not a strong player for the town right now, but on the negative side, town is losing TWO tonight with him AND Eloth dying. Big trouble in the town.

Eloth, on 15 December 2009 - 01:02 AM, said:

Hmm strange day really no one around much due to the weekend. Not looking like a lynch at all.

So looks like I killed Olar there sorry Olar, it was either you or Kalse.

Tonight

Swap Kalse for Mockra.

The Dude changes his kill orders... right now this is pretty much going to be a Shadow kill, or in other words, a fail as Shadow is BP.

Rashan, on 15 December 2009 - 02:48 AM, said:

Kill Shadow if he meets my Criteris for a kill

if he doesn't, kill D'riss if he meets my criteria for a kill

if he doesn't, kill Gay Lord if he meets my criteria for a kill

if he doesn't kill Liosan if he meets my criteria for a kill

if he doesn't, kill Sorrit if he meets my criteria for a kill

if he doesn't, kill Eloth if he meets my criteria for a kill

(By criteria for a kill i mean if no lynch, they arent on the lynch train, if there is a lynch, they are on the lynch train)

D'rek spends her last vig (for now) on Jump Around... big time ouch. Eloth is dying tonight as well, which means JA is losing his protection and dies too. BIG ouch for the town!

Kalse, on 15 December 2009 - 03:27 AM, said:

Hmm, so many juicy vig targets how to choose... well I guess I will go with

Vig Galayn Lord

because he's been consistently staying in the middle for # of posts, is frequently middle of each lynch train, had weird reactions day 1, has made stupid statements in attempts to fish out extra info from most of the reveals so far... yeah that about covers it.

Here's the message for Elle:

Quote

I hope you don't die tonight!

I vigged Galayn Lord. I get a vig every time a viper dies, so I got one from O-ren dying and another from Budd dying. First was Barghast and now GL, who seems pretty damn scummy to me, acting stupid after reveals to fish more info and always staying in the middle of post count and vote trains.

I've got a BP so I'm going to try and get you healed since I don't need it. Good luck!

Thanks!

Kalse, on 15 December 2009 - 03:42 AM, said:

Last vig for now. Until Sorrit or Vernita dies, which optimistically wont happen at all but more realistically will be pretty soon...

All NA resolutions as they will occur in 15 mins when the lynch times out:

Alkend--Kill (x2): Kalse (swaps to Mockra, Mockra dies), AND Eloth (succeeds, Eloth dies)
HP--Bestow Kill: Kalse (swaps to Mockra, kill is lost)
Karatallid--BP: Karatallid (succeeds)

Sorrit--message to Bill (swaps to Mockra, message is lost):
Hey,

Not sure we handled that quite so well - by saying you can send messages to me, that implies that I am an important player, whereas the other way round only shows that you are an important player, which the scum already know. Plus I wanted Karatallid to confirm the reveal so I could be a bit surer of his allegiance - if he'd tried to break cover and denied my claim, you could have joined forces with me to bring him down. Ah well, all water under the bridge now.

Going forwards, I think Alkend is a bit suspicious, can't quite put my finger on it, but he seems especially anxious for any and all information pertaining to reveals. I don't really have all that much of a read on most people though, which is a bit worrying.

I don't know how often you can vig - I can do it every other night. Which means it's important that for Night 5, we know who each other are targetting. Unless Alkend gets lynched, I will target him on that night. If he does, then I will target Galayn Lord.

I'm hoping you tell me who you're planning to kill over the next few nights in your next message. If you don't, then signal this in the following manner. Write down a list of the alts left in the game at the start of Day 5, and then use the numeral (for example, 6) of your intended target for Night 5 in one of your first three posts of the day.

We also need some kind of code word to denote a change of plans. If you think my choices are a bad idea, then mention an alternative target in a sentence starting with "As a matter of fact, ..." If I decide to change my mind, I will signal this to you in a similar manner (If you think that's too common a phrase, say so tomorrow night). If I want to suggest a change in who you are targetting, I will start a sentence with "I've been wondering about ...", mentioning an alternative.

Anyhow, that's enough complicated codes for now, hopefully these will allow us to communicate intent a bit better so we don't both end up targetting the same person like we did on Night 3.

Sorrit
(end message)

Eloth--Mischief: Kalse <> Mockra (succeeds)
Rashan--Kill: Shadow > D'riss > GL > Liosan > Sorrit > Eloth (hits Shadow, fails, Shadow is BP)
Kalse--Vig: Galayn Lord (succeeds, GL is vulnerable because Eloth dies)
message for Elle (succeeds, Sorrit gets message):
I hope you don't die tonight!

I vigged Galayn Lord. I get a vig every time a viper dies, so I got one from O-ren dying and another from Budd dying. First was Barghast and now GL, who seems pretty damn scummy to me, acting stupid after reveals to fish more info and always staying in the middle of post count and vote trains.

(end message)

Kalse loses another vote to lynch (total -1 now). Kalse gains another vig (1 remains).

Night 4 resolved. Welcome to spoilers, JA, Gavin, and Shin! Sorry about the break.

Right now, Town's in big trouble. Both power players remaining are easily lynchable. 5 indies remain, and the Bride is still going strong! How will this one play out?!

Baudin is finally starting to get it... maybe Bill isn't a good target after all. Then again, he just keeps going for Bill. Interesting how people trying to save Bill have resulted in him getting fucked over. That swap mechanic worked exactly as I had predicted it might.

Hmmm im starting to get the feeling that Kalse has some sort of reflection ability, or theres another modifier around coz these are definitely not proper heals.
im also wondering how much of that scene you plucked from the film or if my kill was redirected to them :D

Kalse (bet you didnt guess that one :D ) and Sorrit (fuck it couldnt think of anyone else atm :D )

Bah! I hate it when I do stupid things. I was just about to switch my provisional to Alkend from Mockra after his posts today then I had to do some urgent work, so I thought screw it I'll let slide. I knew it was the wrong decision but ignored my gut and left it.

Tough break, Gavin =(, but hope you had fun. =)

Silencer is still going and he hasn't even used his ability yet. He's also virtually unlynchable (needs 8 votes today... which is everybody but him because Shadow's vote doesn't count). Impressive!

So..... unless some of the Vipers.. Elle I guess, has unlimited night BP, like me, (As dibs implied he had, then shadow is probably the bride. loks like there were 2 vigs last night and a Bride kill. Very interesting. GOnna try shadow a couple more times. If i can't NK him i am gonna have to get a lynch going. Maybe try that anyway. hmmm

OK, just saw quickly the first post here.

It's discutable if I would die when targeted the same night my protector dies, but that's not a big deal.

What IS a big deal is that I was killed by Bill Posted Image

I'm quite sure that when you balanced the game you didn't expect such a start, so I call a Bride victory.

I think I hold the record for Mod fail deaths...I'm thinking it is at four now.

I'm hot on your heels, with mistakes in the Rome game (forgetting that finders shared their info with different teams depending on the day being odd or even), in one of co-mod enterprises, and the epic fail in Spycraft 1.That's just 1 year of modding, hee hee, so your record will be mine. MINE!!! ahem.

well, it has weird, weird situations and it is upside down in such a way that it can be turned again. But yeah, this one should not be pointed out as an example to newbies on 'how to play in a high tmdi' that's for certain - and I'm probably the most shining example of player fail this time around. The fault isn't PBs, though - I think the set-up is sound.

In any case, I played a horrible game. I had no clue what do to and how to read the thread.

With the Vipers at each other's throats for most of the beginning of the game, I became more and more self-concious, and I had no plan. Plus, when the thread was quiet I was scared to post, I had a feeling I was one bad coma away from a lynch train.

Yeah, whats up with everyone not being able to go a few days without role revealing in spectacular fashion?
Seriously people can't seem to keep it in their preverbial pants anymore and just have to reveal their role on thread. Sometimes almost on whim.

I've also noticed we tend (and I include myself) to have stopped building cases and getting discussion that way, a lot of sitting back and waiting for someone to do something silly or make a mistake. Its been a while since i've seen some decent cases being built, or is that just me?

I think for the sake of everyone's game we should play a big TMDI 1-2 game. I know I want one.

Hey I had your back all game keeping you alive till Bill went silly on you... Well thats what I tell myself anyway.

I agree about the big TMDI 1-2, not sure when we'd play it with X-mas coming up and all though.

Maybe first game up in the New Year to get people back into the swing of things.

In my case, I felt I was justified for once since I felt my cunning plan ™ was actually very cunning instead of plain stupid as it proved to be... I usually hate early game revealers. I still maintain that the idea was sound, the execution was just dramatic :pas for tmdi 1-2... maybe, but I think a load of minis are far more constructive, like dibs ran just before spycraft.
