Me dying is probably for the best. As PB says, I'm not the strongest player for town at the moment, and I'm going to be horribly busy tomorrow and the next day anyways, so I'd probably have been a dead weight.

Execution eh?

I'm glad to see I was right about it being an automatic PS action. I would also like to say, that i never believed, PB, that you would break your game by allowing something like my plan to work. I was seriously considering fake revealing a role to see if it would kill me though. I wonder how messy that would have made things...

As for the meta reasoning thing, if you remember PB, it was me who handed HD the victory in the redspy game. I may not be the smartest player in mafia, but I learn my lessons. :D

And for the record, after getting over my pissy-fit, I now think this is a pretty cool game. Kudos.

@Korbas, well it wasn't that bad a plan since I was going to do it as well at some point...

I think its a pretty cool game as well. All these lots of role, high TMDI games are pretty hard to get even close to being right, but it seems pretty good so far. Too often these high TMDI games one team is completely screwed and has zero chances of winning basically and this doesn't seem to be the case.

Its been a while since we had a full scale low TMDI, too often we do them as minis and they tend to be a little different than the a full scale.

FWIW, I knew that after one or maybe two reveal deaths, people wouldn't reveal any more. It was a pretty safe bet.

The Dude is still going for Shadow.

Rashan, on 15 December 2009 - 07:59 AM, said:

understood :D just putting my thoughts out there.... go ahead and say provisional kill shadow if he meets criteris for a kill.

if not him Eloth

if not him fener

if not him Liosan

wow, not only is the game thread completely, dead, they also failed to get a lynch, and JA got killed, :D

seriously, this is why I shouldn't be killed by accident--becase once I die, the thread goes into hibernation.

think il change those provisionals as the way i see it now the assassin is my main priority as i dont actually need to kill the others i dont think so

I do find the game's lull to be saddening, but that's what happens with weekends and near-holiday times.

Well GK is looking to spice it up some more... interesting in that only killers have submitted actions so far.

CUT

The performances have been terrible, also hopefully the killers haven't submitted actions yet. If not fuck.

Alkend--Kill (x2): Karatallid (succeeds) AND D'riss (succeeds)
Rashan--Kill : Shadow > Liosan > Fener (Shadow fails, BP)

OK, so the Charlie Brown team is double-dead, and the lack of actions from others gives the killers a free pass for today (especially Alkend from Sorrit!)

Welcome to spoilers, Bent and alt146. You two were on fire and were undone by the eager-action killers and General King jumping the gun a bit. alt146 is a strong candidate for Man of the Match.

Hard to see town winning this one, but anything's still possible.

So I was going to post... but after that car wreck, I better watch out, as I will get meta'ed as a ninja... I don't want to lurk until later, but I'm going to have to.

FWIW Bent, BOTH you and D'riss were targetted by the Bride today so even a BP wouldn't have saved you... Baudin changes his mind a lot, though, and I doubt it would have been the same at the end of the day, so you should probably blame GK for this one.

Having experienced PBs dedication as a mod to get things exactly right first hand, I can only say it doesn't surprise me in the least that the game is so far fun and relatively (very well) balanced and that players sploding all over thread is the biggest issue of this game :D

Ever the lurker, Baudin is already set up for the next night... however neither of these kills will go through! Fener will be saved by his voting/BP power, Rashan is indeed the assassion (who was lurking) but he can't be killed that easily.

Alkend, on 15 December 2009 - 04:11 PM, said:

seriously i just managed to hit somebody and his wife :D go me :D
hmmm provisional
kills
Rashan, Fener
(because the assassins kills didnt go through, probably because he hadnt been on to put in provisionals so HP is out, which leaves Liosan, HP and Fener as possibles by my reckoning)

Well, PB, I loved the game. Really enjoyed it. I was gonna suggest to Driss tonight that we use our vigs on Kalse and Sorrit, that way if we lynched the assassin we would win. But meh. Still the scenes were great and the game was alot of fun.

Regardless of whether or not I "get it right" ultimately I just want it to be relatively fun and have some memorable moments. Experimentation is fun and I considered this game an experiment months in the making.

I do think the fact that the end of the game has 3 town, 2 Bride, 1 Assassin and 2 indies left does indicate a fairly decent amount of balance.

See, this is exactly what made you and alt two of the best players around. You were playing to WIN. This would have been a perfect move, although you couldn't have killed Kalse off. Then one of you just reveals your win condition and says we need to lynch the assassin, and that's almost a lock to win barring a very unfortunate kill.

Sorry to ya Bent, glad you had fun :D

Obdi remarks that while he may have missed actions, they would have all gone on targets dead-and-gone.

Shadow, on 15 December 2009 - 04:15 PM, said:

I do know. They all would have been dead anyway. Karatallid, Olar Ethil were my main targets.

Oh well.

So I am getting close to unkillable. As long as the bride is alive, if Bill dies, I shouldn't be able to be lynched at all.

Path-Shaper, on 15 December 2009 - 04:21 PM, said:

Yeah, seems like a pretty powerful position to be in. :D

Shadow, on 15 December 2009 - 04:27 PM, said:

Except that I will probably get daykilled.

Path-Shaper, on 15 December 2009 - 04:27 PM, said:

That would certainly be a downer.

Baudin theorizes how close he may be to the end and slightly updates his provisional listing.

Alkend, on 15 December 2009 - 04:16 PM, said:

hmmmm seems Fener and Lio have both been on but Fener was earlier so il keep the provisional on him i think. Oh and today my votes count for 3 dont they?
so hopefully 1 lynch today takes us to 7 left, 2 kills over night takes us to 5 left then if someone gets lynched i win?

Alkend, on 15 December 2009 - 04:16 PM, said:

if i can take otu the assassin obviously

Alkend, on 15 December 2009 - 04:21 PM, said:

oh yeah better do it fully
kills
Rashan, Fener
if either are lynched then
liosan

Path-Shaper, on 15 December 2009 - 04:24 PM, said:

Just FYI, your "vote counts for 3" is an activated day action. You must tell me at some point in the day if you wish for your vote to count for 3.

And noted on the slightly updated provisional.

(Your Displacement is still set to Kalse > Rashan > Sorrit > Liosan)

Rashan, on 15 December 2009 - 04:23 PM, said:

Haha oops, I meant D'riss not Eloth. Put D'riss in Eloth's place.

Path-Shaper, on 15 December 2009 - 04:26 PM, said:

You're late to the party. D'riss is now dead, too.

More Baudin updates!

Alkend, on 15 December 2009 - 04:28 PM, said:

ahh right, thats actually quite good, means i can get away with laying a vote down without it automatically hammering. Also can put a vote down wait for a bit after youve put a vote count down then multiply my vote so it looks like day suddenly ended
is the 3 vote thing only usable today?
displacement
Kalse---> HP---> Sorrit---> Liosan

The Dude knows it's getting down to the wire... and yet he focuses on the wrong person over and over... lol. This from the guy who HAS a permanent BP.

Rashan, on 15 December 2009 - 04:34 PM, said:

Holy fuck... shit's getting serious.

Ok Provisionals

Kill shadow

Kill Liosan

Kill Hp

Kill Alkend

again, thats if they meet my criteria for a kill

Baudin wishes he could co-ordinate with Shadow for the win. I intentionally severed their communications to ensure that this kind of late game dominance relied on Mafia instincts.

Alkend, on 15 December 2009 - 04:34 PM, said:

Hmmmmm that brings a few possibilities to mind. is annoying i cant talk to Shadow anymore or i reckon i could definitely take it tomorrow

You were supposed to say 'Nah, there aren't anymore DayKills in the game.' or something.
