ok, im on for a bit now. Not too sure about stuff yet, the Ano thing could have been a slip up but im not particularly convinced of it at the moment so il do another reread and see if i can glean anymore info from the thread.

Not particularly.
On the Ano thing, it occurs to me that he could be fishing to get people to try and recruit him, suggesting either that he's a relative nobody or that he's unrecruitable and presumably a faction leader or some other important person.

I see the thread's as inactive as ever. I really don't have much of a clue as to who to vote for right now, since no one has done the sensible thing and made themselves easily lynchable yet, as people often do in merc games,

The only way to ever truly satisfy the demands of the mafia horde that you are on the level is to reveal. Tad too early in the game for that in my opinion. I rather tease you guys by make you wondering what I am.
Traditional mafia tactics of looking for scum are flawed as it a merc game, lynches are there to sort out who are in the factions, the faction that too obvious about it get destroyed pure and simple. Removing a faction benefits the remaining factions.
On a first day lynch it is as valid to draw a name out of the hat for your vote in a merc game.

Hello everyone. Sorry for abscence, internet has been on the fritz and it's been a long-ass day.
@ Tulas - I wasn't saying that's how I intend to play, just that it's how games like this tend to run for the first day or two. Everyone just climbs onto the first train that isnt their leader since it's way too muddied for anyone to try do anything tactical. The change in the game normally comes when someone accidently tries to start a train on a faction leader and people are able to start figuring out who is in which faction. If you have a plan that can get the game moving sooner I'd love to hear it.
I'd like to know what Spite meant by 'by now' in the quote Tulas has earlier on in the page. Maybe I'm being pedantic, but 'by now' implies that stuff has happened before this?
I admit Ano's comment struck me as someone who is trying to hint that he's recruitable when I first read it, but a couple of people have come on and dismissed him for whatever reason. Granted none of those people voted for anyone else or tried particularly hard to divert attention away from him, but one vote is hardly what you can call pressure.

My knowledge is based on recollections of things I read ten years ago and Rot3K for the NES, so I won't claim everything is 100% accurate.
But basically, some warlords were stronger than others at this point in time, and I would expect those of greater strength to be our faction leaders, especially the three who ended up fighting for eventual control (Sun Ce, Liu Bei and Cao Cao as noted in the OP). I didn't play the last game so I don't know what effects the events there may have had on the set up. Maybe I'll try to read the spoilers for it later today.

"by now" as in preceding the historical point in time when the game started.

See, Ano, my problem is that your answer is way too cutesy. I fully expected you to show up, act indignant or even laugh, and say, "You thought I was Lu Bu because of this silly reason?" Instead, you show up and simply go on about how a single vote from me and a few comments from everyone else about wanting to see your reaction is somehow akin to asking you to full-on reveal.
And then, to compound it, even after you think that is silly, you basically say that you're just going to let us guess who you are.
Your other analysis of Okaros's vote and general Day 1 behavior is spot-on, and coincides with my thoughts exactly. I'm just a bit hung up on your other response.
