Mezla and I were 19 (I don't know about her but I was in the prime of my drinking career) and Stone Monkey was a youthful 29. I'm sure a few others were alive too.

Well I wouldn't be surprised if Rodeo accidentally brings a bunch of psychotic raccoons with him...

No, but I've heard they have sent a communique to the local badger population about your visit. They are Britain's largest pedator, well apart from me.

Also I saw a family of squirrels in a bren gun carrier, true story.

The sheep around here are looking a bit edgy too, though they seem to permanently be in that kind of state in Wales, so I dunno... :)

I land at London Gatwick at noon on November 18th. I'm then staying a little hotel in Croydon until Sunday November 21st. I'll be exploring London in that time.

Do you mean the 22nd? That's the Sunday. If ye fancied coming over to Cardiff on that day I could probably put you up for a night or two. ;) I could get some of these other Welshies on the board to pop over to the local as well - Masan's Saddle works near my house and I think Gamet lives near here too...

I drank a horrendous amount of that the other week in a pub in the City. I shall take him there. You know when you're in a middle class pub when they crack out the camambert.

He needs to drink some Old Peculier too. It's not as good as it used to be, as Theakstons changed the recipe sometime in the 90s iirc (which I might not do, as the 90s went past in something of an alcoholic fog for me...), but it's still a damn fine pint of ale.

If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Aye that's true. I also found out that Newcastle Brown is moving to Yorkshire which means it will taste even better now. Even though it is still called Newcastle Brown Ale. :)

@TT- surely everywhere down there is middle class? It's in the south after all... ;)

That must be the first time Toby has ever been called posh. It's a proud day for the Toblerone clan. Ever since they first started cutting purses, picking pockets and inspiring Charles Dickens they've dreamed of being refered to as posh:

Bring fresh snow, fresh snow smells great should balance out the whole humid wet sour alcohol thing.

Goddammit. I bought a digital camera today. Got a great deal on it. Opened the box at home and the fucking bastard sold me a pink camera. Deep, shiny PINK camera.

Taking that back tomorrow. Maybe burning down the building.
