I am pretty sure I have seen it before, but it involved lots of really horrible art so I was never tempted to go back. Once you taught me the right words, I found everything I was looking for, trawled through it, realized that 90% of it was awful very quickly, though I still trawl through tons of it (the fics anyway, on the outset that I'd find a gem or two, and I have - the art I don't really care much about as the awful stuff is not skimmable...the awfulness of it is imprinted on your brain forever)...anyway, I pretty much got bored with it and started writing my own.

I have never written fiction before, and I wanted to try, and like BS recently said, the first thing you write will probably be shit (though he used different words, that's pretty much what he said). So I figure it might as well be fanfic....also, I get to practice writing in a world that someone else already made (complete with plot holes, which I get to try to fix by elaborating on subtext). And the content makes it imperative that I not take it too seriously....
