actually, the whole truck flying a pirate flag isn't THAT unlikely.
there's an ice cream truck near me that flies one - truly.
and I have a friend who insists on taking a pirate flag whenever we go camping.

ARRRRRRRR, THEY BE LAND PIRATES WITH CHICKENS INSTEAD OF PARROTS.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Anyway, don't ask me how I got this information, but the webmaster of Tairy's official site has confirmed the Publishers Weekly review.

I never really doubted Publishers Weekly. I certainly would have never considered going to a Tairy site for verification. You are brave, I think.

the thought of badkind writing anything else makes me want to puke and go door to door like the mormans.
Nock Nock Nock
Hi, I'm here to apologise for the tragity of Terry Goodkind. Would you like to hear more?

Well, since the PW review seemed too good to be true, and since I wasn't sure that even Tairy would sink so low as to blatantly plagiarize himself (not to mention turn his totally NOT fantasy series into a continuation of his fantasy series), I thought it would be nice to have independent confirmation.

I'm run over by conflicting emotions. On one hand, THE DEMON IS BACK!!!! That smug, smarmy master of self delusion and ignorance has come back afflict the masses. Will the world know no reprieve?
On the other hand, I have hardly laughed as much since the days of the old Goodking forums. Ahhh, those old times. We even had a troll for a while, completing the image.

Reading Tairy interviews has I think long since convinced me that I should never be surprised at the level of WTF he can achieve.

I abyss, I think (and hope) that Myshkin said it is too good to be true because of how easy it is to make fun of him just from the synopsis.
So... if it comes out in paperback... I might purchase it and try to read it to see what happens, and bring back the 'my eyes are bleeding but I can see clearly now the chicken is gone' report.

Don't you bloody dare, that git gets enough money from the rand-droids.
you may, at best, if you have a large bookshop with an in-house coffee shop, pick it up to read over coffee before returning it to the shelf after sniggering your way through the first hundred pages or so.

Sir, I am afraid I cannot linger at coffee shops whilst smelling what I can only assume are the roasting of beans that have been eaten and then shit out by a feline.

hey people pay good money for that cat shit coffee!
It's certainly a better expenditure than paying for 397 pages of eye bleeding.

No seriously, I was watching 'Bizarre Foods' with Andrew Zimmerman, and somewhere in south america they follow these jungle cats around that eat the coffee beans, and then wash them after they pass through the digestive tract and sell it to the states as super expensive specialty coffee.

I remember hearing about that, actually, it's not exactly what I would call hygenic to be honest.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Not just speciality coffee...it is I understand THE most expensive coffee in the world.
And anyway, browsing in a coffee shop won't give you enough time, so library? I know he still gets money, but it's such a tiny amount and the fun we have...but like I said above, it's too much to ask one person to do...and risk their sight...so a relay? (But count me out...I have a high pain threshold, but no...I mean really no.)*
I know exactly how you feel...that's my rollercoaster of emotions on the matter.
*Seriously no, no, no, no......no.

'Tell me, Tool, what dominates your thoughts?'
The Imass shrugged before replying. 'I think of Mafia, Adjunct.'
'Do all Imass think about Mafia?'
'No. Few think at all.'
'Why is that?'
The Imass leaned his head to one side and regarded her. 'Because, Adjunct, they are sheeple.'
Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that frisbee getting bigger?" ... and then it hits me.

I have an idea.
Can we get Goodkind and whoever wrote twilight to get married?
The books they would produce together... We then send them into space to be read by aliens, who will then stay away from us for eternity as we are too scary for them. NO WEAPONS COULD OVERCOME THAT COMBINATION.

I just had mental images of Tairy getting raped by space aliens.
