The Wizard's First Rule, among other things, states "People are stupid." I am not one to disagree with Mister Goodkind.

I thought I should mention that I posted Illy's version of the promo summary on Theoryland, and I got rep for it from two people, one of whom is my mortal enemy on the forum, the last person I ever thought I'd get rep from.

I can't believe I just read through all this dude's posts. In truth, Rahl, you're giving me a headache. *Yawn*
I guess I'll just go back to reading my new Shield of Lies book.

Indeed? Then, I congratulate you heartily. Although, I must press that there is no rape in Mister Goodkind's books, merely non-consensual sex in the search for Truth.

He was a good little troll while he lasted. More entertaining to read than the average poster, that's for sure.
Peace out, Rahl.

8th rule of magic, Talga Vassternich, deserve victory. You are just nagging, which makes you very unworthy, given the fact that your arrogant enough to say you know the one truth and it is not your own, but someone who's favorite pasttimes are telling others how they should behave and talking about RAPE
No hard feelings though....

Adieu Rahl.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

This makes me laugh every time I read it. I think it was Assail. Why else post in only the Trickster and then the two Badkind threads.

I am utterly amazed that no one has commented on what makes this up there with the evil chicken :
"saves the beautiful Jax from being run down on the street in Orden, Neb., by a plumbing truck flying a pirate flag."
Not only is it a plumbing truck, it's flying a pirate flag. That way you know they mean business of the the plundering variety. And also, saving someone from getting run over from the plumbing truck is one step up from hauling them out of a septic tank - they might be grateful at the time, but they're always going to remember you in association with that time they were covered in feces.

It's a typo, he ment to write "rape truck".
Sadly, that would make far more sense than the actual plot. Goodkind is unique in that he is impossible to satirize - any attempt to do so merely winds up restating the actual plots of his books, as little is more absurd.
