Perhaps that is true. However, I believe that Mister Goodkind is accepting of all creeds and cultures. He is no dictator, no. He is simply a man trying to show us Truth, and a better way to live our lives. But if you take umbridge with my blessing of Mister Goodkind and believe he would not be at least amused by it, then I shall refrain from doing so in the future.

Also, thank you for your welcome.

I believe the word you are looking for is "umbrage". "Umbridge" is the evil woman from the Harry Potter books that took over Hogwarts.
That was not a typo.I was creating a subtle metaphor for those who were aware, of the evil dominion of Kantian philosophy that pervades the world every day, as Dolores Umbridge's malice pervaded Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizadry.

And greetings, Mister Myskin. We have battled before, you and I. You are a worthy opponent, and I look forward to many a verbal fencing session.

I think someone was inspired by my quip about Saul/Paul.

I apologise for my lack of formatting above. I am not quite used to this forum yet.
I thank you, Slumgullion Spit... for your input, however, it is not quite my preferred genre of music.
I listen to the Truth, and Van Morrison.
Regards, Rahl.

Offensive terminology isn't necessary, sir. I would ask you to avoid such things. I merely wish to join the debate and have the honour of speaking for Mister Goodkind.
If it bothers you that much, I shall fix the error.

Meh, I gave my best off-color response. I give no shits about you or your agenda here.
Have a good night.

I love trolls and people replying to trolls.

It always amuses me when people try to "out" a troll and then berates the troll for not being a proper troll... all the while the troll is trolling you harder than ever.

You go Rahl, Goodkind threads are never better than when trolls are on the loose.

You used the word or a derivative of troll 8 times in probably 30 words. That might be a record...
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I was rather impressed with his response about the umbridge thing. He's obviously not a real Tairy fan, because Richard Rahl doesn't have a sense of humor.

Indeed. Richard has no need for humour. To quote Mister Goodkind: "Richard is a character of free will. He's a character interested in truth, and truth is essential to life. This is a person filled with respect for life -other people's and his own. Richard knows his own value. He knows that this is the only life he's going to have; he's not going to throw it away casually."

I was also overjoyed at what an accurate description of Richard it was.

Oh, God, someone defending Goodkind, after all his epic egotrippin' rants? Something new for us malazan fans. And on this forum ? While SE and ICE give you choice in which side to choose, TG tries to shove it up your ass. Considering, he is on the other side of the spectrum
...Every tale is a gift,
And the scars bourne by us both,
are easily missed,
In the distance between us.

Don't be blind,
Mind,
To be kind,
For you will find,

Kindness has its own rewards,
and each must find his way to heaven

I am offended, and wounded. I see that you avoid Truth even facing it. There is a special place for you. Filled with scantily clad lesbian dominatrix torturers.

I believe a quote from Mister Goodkind's Confessor may illustrate my opinion on this subject better than I ever could.
"Truth has advocates who seek understanding. Corrupt ideas have miserable little fanatics who attempt to enforce their beliefs through intimidation and brutality… through faith. Savage force is faith’s obedient servant. Violence on an apocalyptic scale can only be born of faith because reason, by its very nature, disarms senseless cruelty. Only faith thinks to justify it....Justice is not the exercise of hatred, it is the celebration of civilization."

Always seek Truth.
