Apt is not going to care because it's all fake outrage to build up hype for a sad boxing match.

More seriously, it's not really cheating. It's just bad form. As they get exhausted their technique breaks down. On top of that Thor apparently just isn't good at the event which is brought up before the event.

What's really a problem is that the Pro Strongman pool is generally known for being friendly and very sportsmanlike. Cheering each other on, helping each other between events, etc. But the Iceland team are just notorious pricks. They whine and complain and try to weasel their way to get better results. Supposedly, Thor has mellowed a bit after he finally won Worlds's Strongest Man in 2018 but I've never been overly fond of him.

The only way that fight could be anything close to something I would pay for is if they do it Russian slap fight style. I aint giving up money for a pay-per-view of two muscle bound, fat, stiff guys making an attempt at moving around a boxing ring and trying to fight that way. They will gas out before midway point of the first round and be panting, slobbering, hyperventilating fat blobs. Absolute pathetic drivel.

Is it just me or do you need to speak auto tuned country to understand this kid?

Also a reduction of 20-30% less of a bad thing isn't something to brag about.

Most recent episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver covered conspiracy theories. In it John Oliver plays a clip of this song. It's a beaut.

I put this in the NHL discussion thread, but imma also put it here cause it's awesome and I still have seared into my grey matter the glorious destruction that was Seattle in The Last of Us Part 2. Also, I think I'm going to go on a rum journey for libations of the adult persuasion.

With so little live sports ESPN has been airing "The Ocho" type programming. Over the weekend they ran a block of this programming, which was about half a day's worth of odd, obscure sports. One of the events they aired was the 2019 Døds Championship. As I understand it, Døds translates to "Death Diving." It is an event in Norway every August, and it is now my favorite sport. It's mesmerizing to watch. And it is fucking mental! I am floored that no one gets injured doing this. Like if you full on hit the water, flat, belly flop position from that height, can't you legit do serious damage? Like break a neck/back or rupture internal organs?

Anyway, I was captivated by this crazy shit, here is the women's champion (Miriam Hamberg). Bonus: she's easy on the eyes.

Eh, you could probably break something if you were unlucky, but I think we've all tried jumping off the 10 meter platform at the swimminghall and getting fucked up while trying to impress your friends.

A Tribe Called Quest from back in the day... meets Sesame St. This has amused me far more than it should do over the last few days

Busta Rhymes as The Count is definitely a work of mad genius.
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Maybe you've read it. Maybe you haven't
