Probably need to get someone lynched tonight. By the time I am back to participate, the lynch will likely be over since it's 1030 PM here and the lynch timer goes off around 7 AM, when I'm getting ready for work.

I like my Korv case, especially when he revealed guard at L-5, but if you can see a worthy one, push it on your own. I don't think I'm in trouble of getting killed or vigged tonight, but you might be considering your low-posting, which is probably what got Kesso killed, assuming Hood's Path got the vig.

Assuming I live through the night, WCS Korv doesn't get lynched but gets NK'd proving he was innocent and they got a role (unless he's fake revealing to draw a NK on his RI self), and then at 9 people we can reveal for 2-of-5 lynch votes.

There were a couple of holes in your case, mainly the fact that Korv got confused about BB knowing who UB was, not that they could communicate on thread. And the fact he only made one mistake with regards to the mechanics, you just brought it up once. I really dont understand why he didnt pick it apart, he could easily have built up a solid enough defence. He may just have gotten pissed about the religion comment (tip, dont make mafia personal, we're all just here to have fun and it's always the same bunch of people playing). So yeah, I agree, revealing finder so early is wierd. I also agree with Sil though, not giving everyone a chance to come on and counter is a bad move. The killer may take out someone else to wifom us into lynching him, we'll have to see.

Gonna try pick my posting up a little, it's unusual for me to be stone last. I try only post content and I seem to keep hitting the thread when noone else is around.

Let's not reveal until it will definitely net us a scum. Say at the point where there are 4 or 5 unknowns (including us) around. If we do have to reveal earlier than that, leaving out our role for a while may be a good idea. If we can hint that we are roled (but not confirm anything, dont want to draw a counter) we can probably draw the NK away from the actual roled players.

I think you missed something because I said I don't make anything in Mafia personal and his response sure made it seem like he did.

I felt the case was strong enough to vote. He revealed at L-5. And he revealed guard not finder. Nobody was around to offer discredit other than Korv or Game.

/shrug, that's how I felt it should go. Need 2 more votes to lynch.

I meant the jibe about religion, a couple of people on this site can be pretty sensitive about it. Even if you didnt intend it as a personal attack, some people will take stuff like that personally. Dont see why he brought it up in the first place, but yeah, just keep that in mind.

I'm not sure about the Korv thing, but from the looks of things at the moment someone out of Korv, Emur and Ruse should likely be scum.

Yes, I agree that I shouldn't have said anything but he did bring it up and I personally never let that kind of shit slide by unnoticed.

Also, SOMEONE should be telling the truth among Fener and Korv. The problem is if Emur really is UB like Fener claims, we're still lynching an inno and don't KNOW for sure. Ruse may even try to counter by pretending to be silenced today if Korv is inno. I guess we give Korv a shot to block Ruse though since night is 12 hours.

It's also possible whoever the real killer is withholds, getting Ruse, then Korv lynched. Lots of shit can still go down, I think we should wait to see the NA result before we jump to any conclusions. Neither of us are really being looked at at the moment which is good.

I'm PI at this point simply due to the virtue of a killer would never play this way, IMO. I can't imagine how many actions I drew on Night 1. Maybe none.

That said, Korv was indeed killed last night, making his reveal nothing less than monumentally stupid.

Sorry, I'm not sure how to put the names in to identify who is saying what bit...but the last bit is from D'riss!

Another from D'riss titled To SH

Quote

D'rek -- if you were UB, you almost got away with it. If you were innocent, oops?
Morgoth45 -- once again I managed to get you killed, only this time I didn't draw the knife, and I never alt-guessed you. I think 2 kills to 1 makes us even for the Vampires NK wink.gif But seriously, revealing at L-5??? And putting a provisional in with 12 hour nights???

A question from Big Shin - Gamelon

Quote

I just signed back on to ask this question:

Quote

The week-end freeze will be complete, i.e. including day / night timers. The way to make the game go forward will be through lynches.

We can easily end this game next week, it's a small one, so better not rush anything. Comments welcome through PMs to Path-Shaper.

edit: the timer will stop at the beginning of day 3.

Can you elaborate on what this means?
Does that mean lynches can still happen on the weekend, but there is no timer and no night actions? Or there's just no timer?

I have no idea what the answer is...anyone here can help? I HAVE left this in the in box.

Okay, I've come to a decision. I should learn how to play. I am becoming a n00b and it pisses me off. Hopefully my play will improve starting Wednesday. My laptop arrives and I'll no longer have to worry about mother's yelling about Mafia. I have to pretend I don't play because she hates it so much. Plus I'll be able to play in bed, so 18 hour mafia days  But ya, I still need tips on defending myself better, and on reading the crowd's opinion. I think it would've been better to just laugh off the case but for whatever reason I decided to do line by line rebuttal. Which just dug me into a hole. Again.

@Bwgan: If you change the [QUOTE ] bit to [ QUOTE="Name You Want"], then it puts the name at the top .

I really like Shin's chances at the moment. Noone seems to be looking at him, if they're focused on scum they're focused on Ruse (nice job from Sixty there). Of course that might change, because he was a bit too eager to lynch Korvalain yesterday. But if he survives another day, then by the time he gets killed there are only going to be 6 players left and they're essentially back to square one. Obdi should be able to finish it off from there, I'd have thought.

More fron D'riss - titled More case stuff

Quote

I've fake revealed as inno before just to save a real roled player for another day, and to also drive a scum lynch. I had no idea if I was right, I just went on a hunch.

That said, L-5 revealing to me speaks either of SCUM or of MISTAKE. Since he was killed overnight, it would imply that scum is ruled out and mistake wins by default. IF he had a partner, I don't know why the partner wouldn't remove the provisional and just wait for Korv to get back on, realize he's still alive, and then basically say, "Ok I'm guarding Ruse tonight." That way if he dies, tada, Ruse is CI. (Unless of course, Korv was UB and Ruse kills him to probably cruise through the game.)

Most likely, Korv put in a provisional on someone wrong (probably me or Gamelon) and was a solo guard. Anyway, you are right about the weekend, lots of time so no rush.

@ Sir T - thank you sir!

same thing i said to tehol when we where paired guards, never react to people. reacting makes people think you are scum for some reason

also if you are going to the trouble of step by step defending you are obviously worried about what you have said and also implies guilt. i tend just to shout and call people idiots

Really? Because I've tried that, and I got accused of not defending myself...

Bah, people were stupid this game. I put actual freaking effort into the pictures bit, and then they all go "the silencer wouldnt join in early so this is useless". Idiots, that was the point. By me pointing out (and regular play logic) the silencer was guaranteed to wait a while and try to join in inconspicuously lateish, which could be noticeable if you're looking for it. Not that I could say that in pictures, and if I did it would tip the hand. But instead they all ignored that possibility and missed trying to find UB early. Idiots.

Grief's reaction to being silenced:

Please ask if you have any question

Odd, this happens the day after it becomes obvious who I am.

I suspect meta reasoning. Possibly Korvalain...

That's one of the reason meta is forbidden, because it's almost always wrong

If they don't lynch and day stalls all weekend being silenced that long has to suck.
