Saw Predators today. It's good. Not flawless, not amazing, but I walked out of the theater satisfied with having paid the money to see it.

Is there a good build up before we see the monster like in the original? For me that was one of the best parts of the first film, seeing the team in action before they fight the alien.

Saw She's Out Of My League tonight. Very funny movie, Stainer stole every minute he was on. And that chick was fine. Little unbelievable though.

Let the Right One In, and I'll admit to it being the first subtitled film I've ever purposefully rented knowing so and looking forward to.

It was definitely worth it, and didn't let me down at all.

7.5/10 (one of my higher scores lately) and eminently re-watchable.

And now, of course, Hollywood will gut the whole thing with another silly remake. Fucking xenophobic bastards.

Watched Heartbreak Ridge again tonight for the first time in a while.

I always forget how awesome Eastwood is in this movie.

Watched Napoleon Dynamite the other night, and was kinda disappointed. It had a few great moments ( loved the transformation of his older brother) but on the whole it just seemed to be lacking a certain spark.

Also watched Anchorman at last and loved it. Steve Carell's character was classic, and the bickering between Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone almost made me piss myself.
'Why don't you go back to your home on Whore Island?' has got to be one off the best lines I've heard in a movie all year.

Just saw Remember Me last night, and I was completely blown away. A fine movie up until the end, and then it becomes brilliant. Having also just seen Valentine's day, I can safely say that I am firmly in the Team Edward camp.

Just watched Bitch Slap again. Still amazed at how unashamedly bad it is, which is of course what it is all about, but it was a bit more meh now then the first two times I saw it. Still, whoever did the casting and thought lets put Erin Cummings and Julia Voth in one movie is a righteous genius.

And the begin and end intro movies are just too awesome.

Thanks to epic plane journeys, I have recently seen:

I Love You Philip Morris - it was alright. Worth a watch for Jim Carey being good as he is on occasion
Clash Of The Titans - I was expecting total dross so it was better than I expected really but I'm glad I didn't pay to see it
Ondine - Colin Farell catches hot chick in fishing net. Colin Farell's annoying daughter thinks she's a mermaid. Stuff happens, all of which is shit and boring
The Losers - pretty good as pointless action flicks go

Just came home from watching "Crazy Heart". It's a good movie; Jeff Bridges is good, but not as brilliant as I was led to believe. Not regretting the money I paid for the ticket, but I wouldn't have regretted it either had I waited for the DVD.

The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

Also you got to see Ryan Bingham singing "I Dont Know". And that is priceless.

Watched Man On Fire with Denzel this afternoon. If you have not seen this movie, I suggest you do so immediately. Or at your earliest convenience.

Yeah the mate that lent it to me said the same thing, l just don't know if l can work up the enthusiasm to give it a another go, l did find it kinda dull.

I agree with you Slow Ben about Man on Fire, Denzel plays the cold ruthless bastard to perfection in that movie.

That's a cracking film. Dakota Fanning is really really good in it. I hope she lives up to her potential as an actress now she's getting towards grown-up roles.
