Two free films in two days!
1. Doghouse. This is, to be quite frank, hilariously bad. But in a good way. Man-hating zombie women ruin divorce-celebration weekend. Danny Dyer is just funny, though Terry Stone steals the show as a cross-dressing psycopathic marine. But it's still awful...... -ly good.
2. Hangover. Pretty funny. Still wanna go to Vegas sometime... kinda dissapointing ending to be honest, but Heather Graham as a stripper has to be in most guys' dreams...

I saw Red Cliff this afternoon. Long and dull! The martial arts were quite good and it had some hammy martial arts movie camera angles, battle scenes were pretty cool but some were overly drawn out and the CGI was a bit shit. I would only recommend watching it if you really have nothing better to do. It is basically John Woo saying 'You know all that cool tactical shit the Roman army used to do? Well the Chinese did it first'.

Watched "Knowing" with Nick Cage - it started out seeming like it wouldn't totally suck...but in the end, it was a Nick Cage movie. The ending was somewhat unexpected, I guess. I thought for sure they'd end on a happier note. Though the final scene is pure sci-fi cheese. It wasn't horrible, I guess, but I wouldn't go racing to see it.
Angels and Demons - I actually liked this better than DaVinci Code. Probably because I've never read and didn't know what was coming. And it was much faster-paced, which made it not a much of a bore to sit through the overly-long running time of 130 minutes. I spotted the main villain from his first scene, though some of his actions made me doubt if I was right or not... Not bad, not great. Could have used some Vittoria T&A, in my opinion.
I see a screener of Watchmen leaked this morning, so I'll probably give that a look next...

Just saw "The Baader-Meinhof Complex" flipping heavy film, but very good. It's about the terrorist political activists in Germany in the 1970's. It's quite depressing but extremely engrossing.
Also, the first scene is set on a nudist beach.

Watched "Year One" over the weekend. It had a couple funny parts, but definantally a 'meh' rating overall.

I saw this yesterday and quite liked it, too. Although 'like' is maybe the wrong expression: intrigued and shocked would be more appropriate. I just could not get my head around the fact that the RAF (not the airforce) consisted of people who were utterly ruthless on the one hand and completely naive on the other. Did you see it in english or german with subtitles?
And yeah, it featured quite a lot of exposed breasts.

It was in German, with subtitles. I speak vague bits of German and was able to pick up certain bits that weren't subtitled. It is a shocking thing to think that it all happened for real and it wasn't that far away. Also, I had the song "RAF _ Rote Armee Fracktion" by WIZO in my head the whole way through it.

That must have been ... weird!
Concerning 'not so far away': A couple of these kills and/or kidnappings happened in towns only a dozen or so kilometers away from where I grew up. That really made me think.
So, if you don't mind watching German movies with subtitles, you surely have seen 'Der Untergang'!?
