Might just have been my frame of mind when I was watching it or something, but I really didn't find much in TBL to laugh about. The main character's laid back attitude and faint protestations make me vaguely sympathetic to him, but they don't make me find him funny. His friend's over-the-top rants were not humourous but rather irritating. The farcical nature of the chain of events, while ironic, didn't make me laugh. I keep seeing people quoting lines from TBL (like above :ball:), but the lines never made me want to laugh, even the oft repeated ones like "It really tied the room together." I can appreciate such things from the likes of Arrested Development, because there the in-jokes were used over and over again, and then twisted and used by somebody else, and then used in an out of context situation, until you couldn't help but laugh. But The Big Lebowski doesn't get anywhere near doing this, so I am mystified as to its appeal.

I watched the new animated star wars movie. Much like the last three movies, it had some cool stuff, but a lot of unneeded bad stuff for no reason.

Indeed, and what's even weirder, the animated series kicks so much ass. It actually has well strung together plot and development and even though its a kiddie program it does show a much more believable gradual "darkenining" of Anakin.

Are we talking about the CG series or the traditional animation series? Because the traditional one kicked ass.

watched Casablanca today, finally. another classic off the list.

also, watched Audition. while it was decent enough, I was expecting a lot more of disturbing imagery given the zomg giant storm around the movie in it's time.
I'd also do the actress playing Azumi Yamazaki. hawt to the bone.

Just got back from seeing "The Damned United", was really good. I was hoping it'd cover the Forest years too, but I suppose the film would've been mentally long then.

Watched Hush the other day a british horror film if anyones interested. If u are spend the money you were going to spend watching it on either a)going to see watchmen again or )punching yourself repeatedly in the testicles as both of these are better than the pile of absolute shite i watched

just watched Kairo (aka Pulse). must say I was expecting more, the finish was disappointing. though maybe in a few days I'll look at it differently. the imagery tends to stay in your head with japanese movies...

aaand this time around, Chakushin Ari, aka One Missed Call. friggin' awesome film I must say! if you're looking for a decent j-horror outside the ju-on series and ringu, that's your best bet.

I watched Australia on the plane home the other night (and a really cool lightning storm out of the window). It was one of those crappy films that was clearly made for an Australian audience. Wocka wocka wocka.

It wasn't actually as bad as I expected! It certainly wasn't good and even Hugh's biceps didn't improve it in the slightest. You could tell why they wanted Russel Crowe originally. Hugh looked like he might break into a song and dance number at any second.

That movie was painful. I couldn't even make it through the whole thing....man, just not my thing in any way.

Watched the The Day The Earth Stood Still remake the other day. Perfect role for Keanu Reeves, but I wanted to beat Kathy Bates' character to death with Will Smith's son's character's bloody corpse.

Punisher War zone was better then I expected,

Extremem movie was a giant piece of shit

Miracle at St. Anna was ok, but I felt it could have been absolutely awesome if they would have, i dont know what the right term is, focused a little more, it got kind of sloppy at the end, like they had to rush it...
