I dunno, but it was pretty funny :(

Every time I see a new advert for Iron Man it grows on me a bit. First time I was completely uninspired, I had no desire to watch it at all, but now I've seen two or three more it's looking better. I mean, I'll only go and see it if I can persuade my friend who works at the cinema to get me a free ticket, but it will at least be watching it;)

I avoid trailers and movie adds/featurettes like rape, thus not ruining every film I see in advance, I really started enforcing this policy after the simpsons movie wasn't funny because the funny bit shad all been witnessed before hand.
Unfortunately my housemate is one of the film guys who watchs every trailer film thing available and keeps trying to spoil movies (I swear he does it on purpose) for me. last month he had already read the script from the new ben stiller apocalypse now send up, why would you do that? why the fuck would you want to read the script and ruin the film for yourself? the jokes will not be a funny for him, it pisses me off seriously the way movies are pushed now, cloverfield advertising is the way forward, tell people nothing.

'Forgetting Sarah Marshal' - Most of hte previews were stuff that didn't make it into the movie, like that 'do you want to choose the outfit you break up with me in' and that whole 'no, its just 1 guy, clear all the other stuff off' weren't in the movie, although they were along the lines of the movie.

PS - New Harold and Kumar this weekend. Will give review after I see it. (Sat or Sun morning)
Monster Hunter World Iceborne: It's like hunting monsters, but on crack, but the monsters are also on crack.

I decided a while back that I'd never pay money to watch Eragon (or should I say The Bumpkin Boy and the Flying Catasaur) seeing as the trailer looked like shit and the story seemed predictable and cliche.

Well, I just watched it tonight and I wasn't surprised, it was every bit as cliche and predictable as I'd expected. I could more or less guess every event from the get go. That said, with my expectations suitably low, it wasn't THAT bad, not down right boring anyway. Perhaps it would be more suited for teenagers than an adult with an idea of what good fantasy or film should be.

I don't know why Jeremy Irons keeps doing these films. He was once a pretty strong name and he can certainly act and do real characters. At least it wasn't Dungeons and dragons all over again.

don't know if I should even bother spoilering the ending, but
Spoiler

Watched 'Forgetting Sarah Marshal'. Pretty entertaining for a romance comedy.

PS - Disturbing amounts of full frontal male nudity, with no reciprical female full frontal nudity.

I saw it too. I rather liked it.

I just watched Juno and 3:10 to Yuma. Both very good. I thought 3:10 got a little silly and over the top at the end, but oh well, it was still an enjoyable movie.

I just bought AvP: Requiem.

Not a film to be taken seriously in the least, but exceedingly entertaining, and returns to the gore roots of Predator, and some of the fear elements of Alien.
The extra footage in some cases was great in other's a bit less.
All in all if you like action gore fests with a Predator hunting down legions of Aliens and humans oh so helplessly caught in the middle this is great fun.

My only real grippe is that the Cloak fx have gone backwards a slight bit compared to AvP, though it surpases AvP in almost every aspect.

In the uncensored edition you actually see her viscera fall out then the lower part of her body fall off. It's quite awesome. And the sheer violence of her death is spectacular.

I watched A Superhero Movie last night. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it was just the tired old "Scary Movie" premise but spoofing superhero films...at least it was better than Meet the Spartans. I actually got a few chuckles out of it, and it's nice to see Leslie Nielsen's still alive and well.

Well, they were planning to do Eldest as a film apparently, but after the first film bombed at the box office and got piss poor reviews, there was no more talk of it. That was back in 2006 remember, so methinks not.

I'm kind of looking forward to Hancock, it looks like it'll be pretty entertaining if nothing else.

Yeah it did so bad they scrapped the sequel plans. Not that the books are good...but that horrible flaming piece of shit movie did a disservice to the book....yeah...it was THAT bad IMO.

fuck that... the guy just borrowed elements from like 10 different fantasy novels... wackness....

1.Dragonriders who can talk telepathically with their "riders"
2. Dragons who bond emotionally and physically and mentally with riders-
3. farmer boy is the chosen one- not even going to try to list similarities.
4. Chosen one is the savior of a group of people
5. Chosen one has powers which he did not know of.
6. Chosen one is the only one who can defeat the evil one/bad guy.
7. It is the Chosen ones destiny to win over the forces of evil.
8. Farm boy meats up with an older father like man/teacher.
9. Farm boy falls in love with damsel at first sight. She does the same with farm boy
10. Farm boy grows into leader/savior

I was going to try and list all the books/movies that were ripped off but that would require too much effort. At a glance a major plot of Anne McCaffrey’s Dragon Riders of Pern was ripped off (the whole dragon/rider relationship and bond). I also see elements of Robert Jordon and Tolkien. Its like this kid just combined all his favorite fantasy novels into one even more cliché book.
You can't find me because I'm lost in the music
