Looks like the Assassin's Creed games to me, and the AC games hella suck. Also it was originally titled Robin Hood: Origins. I'm not familiar with Taran Egerton, but he probably should have been an accountant instead of an actor.

I can't think of any modern takes on Robin Hood, surprisingly, but I've read there's a project on the horizon called Robin Hood 2058 that sounds pretty goofy.

No YOU Hella suck!

Taron Egerton was Eddie in the Eddie the Eagle movie with Hugh Jackman. He was also the lead in The Kingsman IIRC.

But seriously, AC is amazing. :D

I haven't seen any of those movies but I'll take your word for it.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Re: JOHN WICK....and the coins....(I just finally got around to watching Part 2....it was AMAZING).

I could be wrong but it APPEARED as if John paid either the Suitmaker or the Somalier in a STACK of coins rather than just one, which implies they hold a certain value and are not just symbolic?

I could see it being like what Apt says, where they hold an intrinsic high value. Like the homeless guy who takes Wick to see Morpheus....one coin to hide him, kill those searching for him, and take him to the master...does he do that because of symbolism, or because some guy just paid him the equivalent of a grand to do so? But then no one ever seems to get change, so when Cassian pays with one for John and He to get a drink at the Continental in Rome...that seems like an excessive about for a gin and a bourbon, even at a fancy hotel bar.

EDIT: According to the director it's a bit of both...

Our whole reason for the coin, for instance, comes from the cold war. Spies back in the day used gold coins. You could melt it, it was non-identifying, and everyone in the world accepts gold. We thought, ‘what’s an international currency? Gold coins? Done.’ Then we thought 'let’s put a special stamp on them.' Then you have the gold coin as part membership card and payment.

..and

Look at Clint Eastwood in The Good, The Bad And The Ugly—there is so much back-story unsaid there. We’re big fans of leaving it to your imagination. We just give you some gold coins, and then it's, “Where do the gold coins come from?” We’ll get to that. Have your imagination do some work there.

BILL & TED 3 officially happening!

It will be called BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC, and both Winters and Reeves will return. Being shopped at Cannes apparently.

AMAZING news. I love both of the original movies in this franchise.

STATION!

That after all the talk of John Wick made me think there needs to be some crossover or at least some referential humour in B&T3.

Bogus Journey was solid. Love William Sadler as Death. B & T playing Clue, Battleship and Twister against Death for their souls has got to be seen. Oh and the butt cheek prominent "Station".

Thing is though, with this new movie, I wonder how they're going to keep it fresh? I mean, their music is what saves the universe right? Well, it goes without saying the music landscape has gone through a lot of iterations since they won the battle of the bands competition by playing Kiss' "God Gave Rock and Roll to You". This was at the height of the glam metal era before grunge rock sent glam/hairspray/power-ballad metal out to pasture. So, I'm guessing the plot for this new movie is going to have to address the music landscape is some respect. What do you guys think?

There's explanation of the basic premise of the movie here:

They came with white hands and left with red hands.

You’re goddamn right I do. It took the concept and expanded it in crazy ways, while sticking to the things that make Bill & Ted ...Bill & Ted!

Fuck, it’s worth it for the scene where Death loses at every board game ever...alone.

I ack there are a handful of fun scenes, most involving Death, but while EXCELLENT ADVENTURE had the whole High School project time travel character maturation thing arc, BOGUS was just random nonsense within a bare story that not quite followed the first film. Also, Station was an epicly stupid idea the writers admit they came up with late at night while drunk as fuck, which was how they wrote most of the movie, the robot thing was ridiculous, and that KISS song was just wasted.

Because it is very cheap to do and easy to sell to advertisers.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.
